I have ADR for Whispering Canyon, (June 12 staying at WL). I think I made the wrong choice. :confused3 DD8 & I need our personal space. :scared: We will be at MK that day. Any suggestions where to change to? :confused3 Our other ADR's are: GG, H&V(Fantasmic) and Restrauntosaurus Breaskfast.

I would keep the ADR. We had dinner there last year with our DS' ages 8 & 6 and they had such a good time. My one son loves ketchup and boy did he get his share. It is a good time with silly and fun entertainment. The food was awesome too.

If you have never been to Chef Mickey's that would be my only other suggestion. :goodvibes

Is it as envasive as I've read? DH & DS6 will have a blast! DD8 & I don't like to have attention drawn to us, we are the wallflowers of the family. This is our first trip and I want everyone to have a great time.

We've eaten there twice. The first time at dinner, our serve picked on one of our friends the entire evening. Of course our friend didn't mind, and it wasn't anything too bad, but if you're not one for having attention drawn to yourself, you wouldn't like it.
The second time was for a breakfast and the server didn't do anything out of the ordinary, pretty much just served our food and entertained our kids with a few jokes, but that was all.

I would say to keep your ressies and make back-up ones somewhere else. Since you are staying at WL, take about 5 minutes to stand in the lobby and watch that action for yourself, then you can decide. If you think y'all would enjoy it, then go. If not, you will have back-up ressies somewhere else. Personally, we think it is a ton of fun for kids and adults. And the food is not bad either - make sure to try their ketchup!!

You could ride the monorail over to the POLY for dinner and eat at Ohana's. They offer fun things for kids to get up and do, but they do not come to your table and make a scene ~ so you're safe there! It is such a nice atmosphere and our family loved it last year. Kids were ages 9,7, and 5 then.
Another choice close by MK is the Contemporary's Concourse Steakhouse where you can all watch the monorail during dinner!! :)

I'm with you on this one. I've never wanted to eat here or 50s Primetime (if someone tried to force feed me vegeatables, I'd just about die!).

I agree with 'Ohana at the Poly, or Kona (great food!). Or how about the Luau for something different (but way more moula!)

I do not like attention drawn to myself either. But we ate at WCC when we stayed at WL and we really enjoyed our meal. We had a wonderful waiter. He was funny, but not over the top. He did not pull any of the crazy antics with us, but he did with the table beside us that really seemed to be into the whole thing.

My sons were 3 and 5 at the time and had a lot of fun. They were EXTREMELY tired and did not want to go, but they ended up having fun. They enjoyed watching everyone else in the restaurant.

I agree that you can stand in the lobby and watch/listen for a few minutes and quickly decide if you will like it or not.

We also ate at Chef Mickey's and had a great time there! It's very easy to get there on the boat from WL. Good luck deciding!
