Newbie Needs Help!!

I am new to the site and in need of help. I am looking to go to WDW from Nov. 3rd to Nov. 12th. All i know so far is that I need 152 points to stay at either the Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge. I do not know what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have 3 children ages 12, 8 and 5 and there will be 5 of us in total. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Since you have a party of 5 you will not fit into a studio (max occupancy 4), you will need a 2 bedroom which changes your points requirement to 404.

The unwritten policy that can change at anytime is that you can have 5 in a one bedroom but Disney will not provide a bed, towels, linens etc for the 5th person.

The only DVC members that can get you a reservation at this point in time is someone with that resort as their home resort. A DVC member can book 11 months out at their home resort and 7 months out at the other DVC resorts. You should find someone that has points at the resort you want and see if the points are good for that time period or you can start a new thread saying that you want to rent points at a specific resort for a specific time and see if you get a response.

If you decided to go with a 1 bedroom, mind you I'm not condoning it, your points requirement would change to 308.
