HELLO EVERYONE-----

I am brand new to this wonderful board and need some help!!! I am looking for discounts on hotels and a rental car.

I live in Venice Florida which is about 2 hours from Disney and we are heading there again in November. We normally just wing it but this year we are actually planning the trip!!

We just bought a new Jeep Liberty Renegade so we need a vehicle big enough for all 6 of us. 4 adults and 2 carseats.

Looking for inexpensive hotels either in the park or outside. We are going with another couple and we are taking out 3 year olds with us. It will be the first trip for the girls. We are just doing The Magic Kingdom for now. We are planning on leaving around noon on a Friday and coming home Sunday night. It is a short weekend trip.

Any tips or information will be greatly appreciated.

Secondly.... I am confused. If you have a new car and only live two hours away, why do you need a rental car? Are you renting a car at home instead of using your new car? Does it not fit all of you? I'm relying on my (old) memory here, but I believe that www.rentalcodes.com is where I came up with the best codes for our car rental last time. Also check www.mousesavers.com and www.allearsnet.com for information about available discounts. Not sure where you will be renting from, so I can't really give any more info.

As far as hotel discounts go, not sure if you were looking for onsite or offsite. There are a few deals around for onsite, but I'm not sure if you are staying long enough to qualify. As far as offsite, there is always Hotwire.com and Priceline.com. Also, check out the previously mentioned Disney websites for information on hotels. There is also a great "Orlando resorts and hotels" board here on the Dis.

We are going for Friday night thru Sunday afternoon. Your right tho, we may not qualify for a in park discount.

We need a rental car because my jeep is not big enough for 4 adults and 2 little girls in carseats. I am hoping to rent a minivan.
