Newbie here with a few questions about codes.

I am a Florida resident with a three night reservation in a Deluxe Hotel, club level. I supposedly have my address on file, as well as on my reservation. I also have my sister's address on file with whom I am going with in October. Anything else I can do? I know about the discount codes on here but if I do receive a postcard are those better? If a discount becomes available and I add a night then, will the discount go up? Will I have to pray my dates are still open and have to rebook if a discount code comes?
