Please forgive me if this has been asked a thousand times before...we are just in the process of getting all our paperwork out and it's all very confusing! :upsidedow

In the past I have always called CRO to make our room reservations. Does DVC have a dedicated line to call? We are also AP holders so I would ask the CM to check to see what the room discounts were and that would influence where we stayed that trip. Is DVC ownership as easy as calling up and saying - what DVC rooms are available for xyz days when we will be down?

Right now we have a vacation booked for November with a split stay between GF & YC. I would like to keep 3 nights at GF (almost paid for) and then 5 nights at maybe a 2-bedroom at BCV - would it be too late to get a BCV room? We don't have our PIN # yet so I can't get on the website - would it show availability there? (In the future I will book further out, but since we have a trip so close we would like to try out the DVC resorts)

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Jill

yes, DVC member services is a separate line. you'll need your ID number to call. (edited to add: i don't think this website allows the number to be posted - it's in your membership information and IIRC, it can be googled.)

if you are within 7 months, i'm sure they can tell you which resorts are available. they can also tell you what types of rooms are available and when (as long as you understand they can't get into specific room numbers/locations.)

most likely BCV will be booked up, as it is a smaller DVC resort, but it doesn't hurt to ask. november (food&wine early, holidays/decorations later) is a popular month for DVC, so booking early - especially at BCV - can be important!

there's no availability info on the DVC website (and DVC and CRO have separate inventories, so if rooms are available on disney's main reservation site...they may still not have rooms available on DVC points.)

First of all, WELCOME HOME!
Does DVC have a dedicated line to call?
Yes they do!   But we're not going to tell you what the number is! (Actually, it's against board policy to post that number for obvious reasons. You'll get it with your account info, from your guide, or from your broker depending on how you purchased.

I don't know if MS can give you that info and make ressies for you or not. Hopefully someone will answer that one for you.

Just about. MS will want your account number and some security info, but other than that, it's very simple.

Probably, but you never know until you ask. Do NOT put yourself on a waitlist unless you thoroughly understand waitlists and how they work.

Not yet. That is probably one of the most desired enhancements for the member site, but that capability is not there yet.

Thanks for the info! Uhhh..what's a waitlist and why wouldn't I want to be on one?? We are buying into AKV and hope to stay there in april. Dh just sent off the check so we are on our way!

Our DVC Planning Board is the place to visit for "waitlist" information. Here is a link to a thread over there on the topic - Click Here.
