You guys rock!! Initially I was disappointed that we could not go to WDW but the more I read about Disneyland the more excited I get. We will only be 7 hours away!!

I haven't even decided where we are going to stay but when I cancel my WDW package I am going to book DL:banana:

Your going to have a great time at Disneyland. I mean sure its gonna be a completely different experience as your in a park thats somewhat foreign to you, but its going to be exciting all the same being able to see things that you can compare (Haunted Mansion, Splash etc) and also be able to see new things that WDW doesnt have.

You will be hooked I promise you! :thumbsup2 Congrats on the move by the way.

My fave show hasn't been mentioned yet--Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Hilariously funny and great music (wonderful bunch of guys in the show also). I also love Laughing Stock.

Thanks!! I am thrilled that we are going to be so close!! Hopefully I will be able to answer questions for people in a few years!! My DH will be deploying and of course I will need somewhere to go to cheer us up;)

In addition to the excellent advice you are getting from this thread, i would recommend you read (& print) Hydroguy's "Disneyland for WDW Veterans" - soimething like that. It was very helpful for me. I had a pretty good working knowledge for WDW but was going to DLR for the first time.

Also, I hope your husband will be safe as he serves our country. I want to thank both him & you for your sacrifices. (pixie dust on your family pixiedust:
