Good morning all,
Please excuse me if I'm posting this in the incorrect location. I'm brand new to these boards and I have a question about possible off-site vacation rentals. This is actually my very first post! :goodvibes

We have two toddlers (4.5 & 2.5) and they have been asking to go back to Disney. We went last year and had a great time staying at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge (1 bedroom). We happened to get a great rate ($295, I think). This year, even with a promo PIN the best we could do was around $340 or so. Therefore, we started looking at off-site vacation homes.

We've found a few with great theme rooms and that's what we'd really like to do. I've gotten information from StoryTime and Magic Rentals and they are very close in price. Does anyone have an opinion on either of these companies?

Do you know of any other off-site vacation rentals that offer really awesome theme rooms. It would be nice to have our own pool (or splash pool). And, we really don't need more than 2-3 rooms, so a townhouse would work as well.

Any insight you might be able to provide on either Story Time Rentals or Magic Rentals would be most appreciated. Or, if you have other suggestions for sites that have terriffic theme rooms, I'd be most obliged.

Thanks very much for your asssistance and Happy Planning!

Best,

I've stayed offsite at Windsor Hills once with MIL and DS. DS was 18 mo at the time. We did a Disney Themed condo rental (found thru Homeaway.com). I think Story Time and Magic are also at Windsor Hills... but could be wrong.

Our rental was very nice - it was a 3 bedroom condo. The kids room was Disney themed. The room had bed rails, PnP, highchair, etc. which made it really easy.

It didn't have its own pool, but was an easy walk to the pool and playground. The pool was great for DS - zero entry, and also a water spout play area. The playground was also wonderful.

Since I own DVC, it's rare for me to stay offsite, but Windosr Hills was a great experience (and a great bargin - I think it was less than $70/nite - booked last minute for an Oct. stay). I've recommended it to co-workers who are travelling with larger familys or want a better bargin than Disney, and they've had a great time.

Also, it's wonderful to have a kitchen and washer/dryer when travelling with little ones.

I appreciate your response. Good to know WH is a nice place. We did a mass e-mail to the owners to see if there were other properties that might be available.

I noticed two other homes that sounded really cute. "Ethans Little Disney" and "Mickey's World (dot net)." Anybody stayed at either of these spots?

Thanks again for reading.

Have a great one!

I know that this is not the answer you asked for, but we have used homeaway.com and have found houses near disney where the entire house was Disney themed. AND... it was cheaper for a week then most hotels.

We love HOMEAWAY...

Its easy and so nice when you have a place like home.

We haven't stayed there yet, but we will be staying at Storytime Kingdom, the 6bedroom with the Toy Story kids room. The whole house looks gorgeous and I can't wait to stay there. I know there were some others in Windsor Hills on vrbo.com when I was looking, but I don't think I saved the info.

I've seen many themed kids rooms in the Windsor Hills rentals.

Try vrbo.com and also windsorhillsrent.com.
