Newbie Here, Delurking!

Hi, All! My name is Ann, and I recently found this board. . . so cool!

I just returned from WDW on Monday. . .it was my first trip back since 1974!! Wow, things have changed! When I was there last, all that was there was the Contemporary, the Polynesian and the Magic Kingdom!

I was so excited to be able to share DW with my kids, although I was a little afraid that the "magic" might have been lost on me, since I'm 43 now. Hehe. . .Found I didn't need to worry about that. . I probably liked it more than my kids!

Unfortunately, my husband turned out to be a Disney-hater. . said he'll never set foot in DW again nor ever give them another penny! (grouch). . .That's ok, though. . I'm already planning another trip for the kids and myself, hopefully in October or next Spring. . Can't wait! This time for at least *six* days!

Ya know, I'm sure that things changed a lot, but it still seemed the same to me! The Polynesian looks exactly the same as it did to me 30 years ago. . . or maybe I've just killed off too many brain cells over the years! LOL!

What was really cool was that my brother (40 y/o) drove over from Melbourne, (1 hr away), and spent a whole day with me and the boys. We had a great time, remembering things about WDW that were no longer there, and talking about the last time we were there in 1974! So much fun!
