I would really like to avoid getting wet while at IoA and US. Should I skip Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges, and Jurassic Park River Adventure. The only one that I kind of wanted to go on was the Jurassic one, but I REALLY don't want to get wet. How wet do you get? Any other water rides I should know about at IoA?

Are there any water rides at Universal Studios?

If you don't want to get wet, definitely skip Popeye. You will get soaked on this ride. So soaked that there are huge fans in the drop off area to help partially dry you.

JPRA - Hit or miss depending on where you sit. I have stayed perfectly dry, to getting a bit sprayed. I have never been soaked like Popeye on this ride. If you don't mind wearing a poncho, that should completely take care of any dampness that might happen.

How about Jaws?

We should probably ask you first what your wetness tolerance is. Do you want to stay completely dry? Can you tolerate a small spray - say a wet patch on a t-shirt that will dry within 15-20 minutes?

Jaws - If you sit on the left side, right by the edge of the boat, in certain seats, you may get a bit sprayed. No more than leaving a wet spray mark on a t-shirt or shorts. But of all the times I have ridden this ride (on the left side), it has happened once.

Others may be able to give you a different perspective.

I don't mind getting sprayed a little, I just don't want to be drenched. Dripping hair and soggy shoes are what I'm trying to avoid.

sit in the third or fourth row of JPRA and you'll be fine. Ripsaw isn't bad, it's the water cannons near the end of the ride that get you if people are using them. Jaws might give you a mild spray at most.

Have never got wet on Jurassic, maybe just sprayed a little I guess as others have said it can depend on where you sit.
Same with Ripsaw.

Popeye's Barges, you will get soaked , pretty much guaranteed.
However, it's a fun ride when the weather is hot.

I got soaked on Jurassic Park last time I went. I was on the front row. It all depends on how heavy the boat is and other random elements. Bite the bullett and go on it - it's a beautiful ride!

Ask for the back row of JPRA and you'll be ok.

If you ride Rip Saw Falls, your shirt will be completely soaked because of the water jets at the end of the ride. I wish they'd turn them down.

And Popeye, well, that's like taking a shower. For that one, you put your shoes in the middle compartment after putting on your seat belt.

I was in the 2nd row...SOAKED.
Was that on Jurassic Park River Adventure? I really want to go on that ride so I'll try to get a seat in the back. The other 2 rides, I have no problem skipping.

Yeah, it was the Jurassic Park ride...sorry, I didn't edit that in time. And our boat was practically empty, other than my family of 5 and 1 other, BTW.
