Newbie goin to WDW!

Well, I've been lurking too long! We're on our way on 7/28. Seven days offsite at Marriotts Cypress Harbour. I know there are quite a few of you who've stayed there before. Any tips anyone wants to throw in I would be grateful. We are very excited! We have two children 7 & 4. We will probably only do MK this year and shoot for more parks as the kids get a little older.

I am hearing that maybe I should call ahead of time and request a specific room or building, but I have no idea what to request. Any help is appreciated.

MGM has some awesome rides and shows for kids your childrens' ages. Bear in the Big Blue House, the Beauty and the Beast show, Muppets 3D to name a few. You might want to try that park also, for variety...

Have a great trip and congratulations on your first trip. Be careful, it can be addictive!

Also, the Animal Kingdom has plenty to offer for kids your age.

Even Furture World at Epcot is fun for little ones. Living Seas, innoventions, test track.

Dont go to just one park. We've been going every year with my daughters since they were 1.( they're 6 now). Believe it or not there favorite park is Epcot's world showcase. SLOW DOWN and enjoy this part of the park. There are kids stations at each country maned by a person from that country. They help your child build this star thingy with stamps and stickers which reflect things from each country. Then when the parade comes by, the kids who made these stars get to be in the parade and give their stars to the dreamcatcher who puts it in a float that will make their dreams come true! Also each land has street shows that reflect the countries origin that kids get participate in, plus taste authentic food ,and shop in cool stores that carry unusual toys. They wind up learning stuff (you will too) without even knowing it. Our daughters now want to world travel and are much more aware of a big world out there......either way have fun....TAZ
