Newbie, excited to start planning our first WDW vacation!

Hi! I just joined this board and can't wait to start immersing myself in everything Disney. My DH, out of the blue a few days ago said "we need to go to Disney World". I have been twice when I was a child but that was a LONG time ago and my husband has never been, though he has been to Disneyland. We have a 5 year old daughter who will be 6 when we plan to go in either September or October next year.

I looked at some of the forums and it seems like this is the place to be for info & help in planning. I can't wait to get started

I tell everyone planning a Disney vacay this, but I've been to WDW several times, and on our trip two years ago (at Christmas. Literally. Dec 22-26,) we used the "Unofficial Guide to WDW." And I was impressed. You'll find an amazing amount of info here on the boards, but that Unofficial Guide had some touring plans in the back of the book that we utilized, and I promise you, we never had to stand in line for more than about 20 minutes. I think we waited 23 minutes for Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, but that was the longest. I highly recommend those touring plans! (However, I don't know how they've changed since the MBs were brought online. I'm sure there are differences.)

If you want to do and see as much as possible (and as much as is reasonable!) look into that resource, too!

I envy your sense of discovery! It's always lovely to revisit, but there's something wonderful about experiencing it all for the first time...
