Please be easy with me. I think i have a eye headache reading all the info here. and the more i read the more lost i get.

i found the list of abb. but the AAA isn't on there. and i see AAA every where.
i am thinking it's meing to be triple A as in insurance.

I am going may 26th-june 2nd and Boy i hope this starts being fun soon.

Every one i have told i was going asked me if i planed to do this and that. it seems i need to have this LONG list of places i MUST see.. i want to get the most i can. and i want to know all the tricks to get what i can out of this trip. but the more i read the more lost i get. maybe it's because i am new and never been to DW before. but my head is spinning and if i can't get a handle on what seems to be little things how am i going to enjoy this trip.

ok let me tell you what i do have so far.
7 days staying at all star movie
10 day park tickets
park hopper
water park
no exp tickets
dinner plan and have my res. done for that.

i don't know how any thing is handled. I'm sure to some this seems like know big deal but i am total in the dark and in lost ville. :lmao:
So does any one think they can help fellow DW go-er out :)

thank you and i hope to be a pro like all of you some day :)

Hi, Welcome to the DIS!

AAA is the insurance/travel agency. They sometimes have discounted packages.

It looks like you are off to a great start. I see you have 10 day park hoppers with water parks, no expiry. Are you planning on a second trip? You have about 13 days worth of tickets but you are staying 7 days.

Since you have dining ADRs already the only thing you need to do is make an itinerary (what parks on what days) and a touring plan (how to attack the park once you are there). I'm going on almost the same dates (MAy 27-June 3) so if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

yeah i thought that if i bought the tickets upfront if another good deal came up when DD was out of school we could go and we would already have tickets.

how do i have 13 days of tickets? i think i am lost again.
7 days is as long as i think i could take the crowd. :)

 Welcome. Dont worry soon enough you will be up on all the lingo.:)

It sounds to me like you are off to a good start. Make sure you allow down time for swimming, shopping and relaxing at your resort and DTD.

Welcome to the Dis Boards!

:thumbsup2

One thing I always do every time I go to WDW (even though I've been 20+ times) is join Tour Guide Mike (TGM). Myfavorite part of TGM is the advice about Extra Magic Hour (EMH) days and nights and advice about the Fast Pass System. The website also has great touring advice and message forums to get help from others.
Make sure you take full advantage of Fast Pass (especially for the dates of your vacation). Do a search here or TGM about Fass Passes. Not using Fast Pass, and not completely understanding fast pass, can make or break your vacation. My family maximizes our fast pass use and this truly helps our park experience.

You have come to the right place. Feel free to ask questions. For the most part, everyone is very friendly and very helpful.

We like to ask everyone in our party what are the things they would most like to experience at each park, then try to put together a touring plan taking everyones interests into account. Then you have to reach a plaesurable balance between trying to see those things without COMMANDO touring, which can take some of the fun out of your experience. The unofficial guide to WDW will certainly help you with some touring plans for your interests and family size. Don't get stressed out over, but rather make a plan and everyone needs to be flexible enough to accept that it may need to be adjusted during the visit. Hope this helps:thumbsup2

You have a 10 day park hopper which allows you into the 4 main theme parks for 10 days, then you have the water parks and more which with a 10 day ticket has 6 "plusses". this means you have 6 visits that you can use to the 2 water parks, Disney Quest or pleasure island. Each time you visit one of these "minor" parks/places you use one plus. Even though you have parkhopping, this does not apply to the minor areas so for example if you go to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach on the same day you would use 2 plusses.:wizard:

Sounds like you are really on top of it. :goodvibes I found that starting off it was much more helpful to read a guide book first and then jump into these forums so that I had a basic understanding of what the parks had to offer. I just like actually being able to flip through pages etc. in a book. I would highly recommend either the Passporter or the Unofficial Guide. The UG is pretty intense as it contains SO much info, but is a fabulous resource. The passporter is fun to read through and has tons of great info as well. Birnbaums offers very very basic info but is pretty, lots of pictures and can jazz you up. I would recommend going to your local library and checking out each of these if they are available. Even if you can only get older editions, maybe take a look at them and see which book fits your needs best, then go buy a current edition as you will definitly not want to go on outdated info.

I agree with a previous poster about learning about Fastpass. In general I would recommend asking specific questions on the board or browsing for thread titles that seem relevant to you if you are feeling overwhelmed. People here are great at offering info and help for specific questions, and can also just offer support and commiseration to general overwhelmedness (my new word for the day;) ) Good Luck!

Hi! Welcome to the DIS! We will be on vacation the same time as you! It took me awhile to get the lingo down also but I lurked a long time before I posted. It sure is fun once you get settled in! Have fun planning!:yay:

thank you all very much for welcoming me.. :)

I am so looking forward to this trip. I am going to go search for the fast pass info know. I think i'll have standard FP. i didn't get my tickets from AAA.

The AAA Unlimited FP are only for Disneyland tickets. WDW does not offer Unlimited FP to their guests (though it would be a nice perk!).

Welcome to the DIS!

It will get easier. You will find other people who post questions that you have been thinking about asking and you will find links to pages that will help you figure out things.

You've started out well and I recommend taking that list of things to do and prioritizing what people want and making sure the top things get done! Resting each day is more important than you can imagine right now but even now after 10+ trips and being all adults we still plan to rest each day, especially when it's warm!

Enjoy your trip and post at least a quick report when you return!
