Question for anyone who has purchased them.
Are they Comfortable? Trying to justify spending the $125. I do like them but want to know first if they are confortable.

We all have various needs and feels for shoes based on how blessed or cursed we are as runners; so person’s comfortable shoe may not feel comfortable to another. The shoe is the New Balance 860 V3. It is a stability shoe that is aimed for a middle distance runner with a neutral gait and an average arch. If you are thinking of running in them, compare that with your current ride. If you are looking for knock around shoes, more than likely, you will find them acceptable, if not comfortable. Better yet, head to a shoe store to see how they feel before fighting the masses at the Expo.

I can't remember where I read it, but I thought I heard that one of the reasons New Balance chose this model as the Disney shoe was because it had broad appeal in terms of fit. I disagree that it is a neutral shoe though. This is a shoe is for over-pronators, so if you are not even an over-pronator, this isn't the one for you. I trained for my first half in this model (non Disney version). It was my first real running shoe. I bought a second pair of the exact same that I just started on. But I actually find them too clunky and heavy to run a half marathon in, nevermind a full.

Each shoe brand has its own style of fit, so it also depends on whether you like New Balance shoes in general. You can find the regular non-Disney version of this model in stores so you should be able to find one to try on.

New Balance said that there will be a 2014 shoe, but they didn't say it would be the same model did they?

Both my husband and I have them, but we don't by any means run in them as it's not the type of shoe we run in (hubby-neutral; me-minimalist). It's primarily for the "look" of them. We use them to walk around in or gym (well for me). Being that they don't have wide widths we have to size up, which was a bummer.

Same here...

V4 may come out 11/1; I know some models are changing on that date... I am just not sure NB releases all new models on the same date. If that is the case, then there may be a V4 in January, or possibly at the W&D.

I have not run in NB for over a decade - glad to see that they still have the clunky ride.

cherrybomb11 is absolutely right - the 860 is very over- pronators of which I am one. So I normally buy the 860s to run in so these new Disney shoes were perfect for me - and they were Disney too - can't beat that! I love mine. I went to a running shoe store to get assessed and have the correct shoe recommended to me--

They said at the ATL meetup that it will be the same model, but I don't remember if they said it would be the same version. I kind of missed the details because I run in a zero-drop neutral shoe, so it's not really a shoe I would choose to run in. Here's the teaser video they shared with us on Saturday:

I bought them at the W&D Expo. Since I was there, I just had to have them! :rotfl2: I do not know what model the shoes I have are now, just that they feel good (but they are NB). They are are much lighter, airy shoe than my Minnie's. I actually don't see me running in my Minnie's. One because they are a tad heaver and stiffer than my current running shoes and two because I don't want to wear them out too fast. ;) I am very happy that I got them though and will buy the 2014 model also....just because I have to have them! :rotfl::lmao:
