Hi,
I'm looking at booking a stay at the Hotel New York and was wondering if the upgrate from a standard room to a lake view room?
I know you'll only be sleeping in it most of the time but I don't want to have no view whatsoever either.
Can anyone give me their views on what to choose?
Also, does anyone have any pics from staying at the hotel new york whether its room pictures or just any pictures you have of the hotel?

Hi, have a wee look at my trip report on my signature. We've never requested lake view. Last time we got ground floor rooms with access outside the the gardens overlooking the pool and tennis court which we liked.

You'll love HNY, it's my favourite so far, this was our view last year.

With the window open we could hear the music from the ice rink, I loved it

I've jst had a look at your report Ms Poppins.
Its looks like you had gorgeous weather while there and there didn't seem to be too many crowds either.
jillrobinson, the location of your room must have been in a lovely location to get the photos you did.

Also, what did you think of the breakfast selection and hoq nice they were including the hot breakfast items?
Also, this may seem a daft question but I was looking at photos the other day from someone elses report and when they got to the parks in the morning, they took a photo of the village but there seemed to be railings infront of the entrance. Does that mean you can't walk through the village in the morning about 7:30-8am?

Breakfast was good - a really nice selection of the usual continential stuff and bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, potato. It's lovely to sit in the Manhattan restaurant - very spacious.

I made it to EMH every morning between 7:45 and 8 and walked through the Village fine

The cab is at the front of the hotel entrance. From the Village side you enter the hotel beside the ice rink. Once inside the hotel walk through reception, which is straight ahead and out the opposite door. The cab is just outside:

There is also a small cut out inside the lobby which is where the characters are for photo's each day - or if you're daft like my lot you can pose beside it
