The New York State governor has taken a stance of Gay Marriage and has submitted a bill to legalize it. The goal is to have the bill passed by end of June.

This should be an interesting couple of months as it plays out in the Assembly and Senate in New York.

I have said it before, I do not really believe in gay marriage on the basis of its not the best tactic in my opinion to get it unions recognized, but it is still exciting to see the events that occured in MA, VT, CA, etc start to be played out here in NY.

Thanks for the update!

I read the comments on the first page. You made some really great points.

Looking forward to being able to visit my parents and maybe invite them to a wedding! :teeth:

I heard the Assembly had enough votes but the Senate is short. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
