I am sure I read a list on here somewhere of New York hotels that allow 5 people per room, but of course I can't find it.

Shushh...are you out there...I think it was one of your posts.

We have just stayed at Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Square and they sleep 5. It was absolutely fantastic and we will stay there again. Great spot, friendly staff, very clean, massive rooms (well two rooms). I booked through Expedia when they had a 10% off sale and I got the room cheaper than booking direct with the hotel.

If you go to my TR (aussietravellers adventures) there will be photos of the hotel rooms somewhere on the first few pages :thumbsup2

Thanks...I should have been taking notes when reading the TR's. We have had a change of plans so maybe able to go to NY next year now.

Jade+3 it probably was my post but I can't remember what I wrote! I've attached a link that I started for my planning in New York. Its got the location of the hotel, website and my notes as well as the popular attractions so you can get an idea of where things are. All the hotels sleep 5 or more

Seriously, that is amazing planning! I thought I had it bad with my spreadsheets! I will have to show it to DH so he realises there are people out there more crazy than me. I don't think I need to do much planning for NY, I will just wait for your TR!!!

Hehehehe thanks for the compliments! But seriously, I have an illness...I posted a similar map in my PTR with activities grouped into days and with restaurants as well.

OMG, just had a look at that one - I am lost for words. Must learn how to do that.

We stayed at Radio City Apartments - it's an older hotel but the rooms were fine and it's a great location (West 49th St in Times Square).

We paid $240 per night for weekdays and $250 per night for weekends plus tax. Total for 10 nights was $2625.44 in a one bedroom apartment (two double beds and a sofa bed). I loved having the kitchen. We ate breakfast in the room most days and dinner a couple of times too.

How old are your kiddies now Jade+3? I'm guessing your bub isn't quite 2 yet. How exciting that you're going to WDW. I'd like to try that one day but the extra expense ugh.

The baby (now the toddler) is 21 months. The others are 4 and 5.

One of the reasons we are going back to WDW next year is DS will still be 2 - so free! He is not counted in the room occupancy so we can stay in resorts that have a maximum of 4. That 3rd child makes planning so much more challenging!

I have been meaning to ask you what school your kids go to. I saw one of your replies ages ago about the Sit n Stand pram (I have one too!!). I have seen a mum at school with one and wondered if it was you - but did not want you to think I was some weird stalker! DD goes to W****l.

My kids go to M***y :) My nephews go to W****l though :lo Love our codes. My nephew is in prep there. I don't use the pram much as my baby is 4 now. I'm hoping to have another one and to go with them all to Disney before it's 2 just like you so I wanted to ask how it all went last year with a tiny fella.

Glad I didn't make a fool of myself and ask the lady with the stroller if she was jacs! DD is in Prep, and DS1 starts next year.

The first time we went with kids DD turned 3 while we were there and DS1 was 19 months. Last year DS2 was 8 months.

I think we were lucky last year that he was not crawling as that would have been painful. I did feel a little sorry for him being stuck in the stroller but he was happy enough looking around. I think the most annoying thing travelling with a baby was the amount of stuff we had to carry around. And eating out too, as we had to take baby food for him and he is not that fond of the highchair. We are pretty casual parents and our kids do not have routine. If they are tired, they sleep wherever. I have never been one to make sure I am home for nap times. I think that helped.

Mostly it was a good experience, and I would do it again (but no more kids for us though!).

Well I thought about 5 months would be perfect, before crawling and still 100% breastfed. Then I'd only have to carry nappies, wipes, a dummy, change of clothes, little rag in case of pukes, baby sunscreen, baby hat, probably another spare set of clothes, a little jumper in case it got cold, a blanket, little toy, a bottle of water, nappy cream and the pram :rotfl:

But the best thing about travelling with a baby is you can chuck it all in the pram! I am wondering what it will be like when the kids are older and I actually have to carry things (especially my camera bag).
