New York Accom - East Village or West Village or Somewhere Else

Hi Team,

Just looking for some advice for the BF and I for when we are in New York.

I have always stayed in Chelsea but we are looking at doing a fair bit of eating out and partying it up!

So we are thinking of maybe staying in the West Village or East Village. It will also be good to try staying somewhere else and its BF first trip to NYC.

There is also area around Washington Square park that seems to be in the middle.

We have found some great apartments on airbnb in all areas so love to hear where people think is the best area for two 20-something gay guys to stay!

You are already thinking in terms of "neighborhood". That is smart. Personally, I would think about where will I end up at the end of the night in most cases. No one likes a big, long *** cab or subway ride in the wee hours of the morning. Do some research and figure out where you might end up. I have a tendency to hang out in Hell's Kitchen for my nights and as a result might try for accommodations near there. But the beauty part of NYC is that there are a plethora of scenes to explore. You go where you will be happy. You can still utilize my principle of "where will I be at the end of the day?" whether you are an opera queen and spent the night at the Met or you are more edgy and love the East Village.

Were leaning even more to the East Village - found some lovely apartments near 2nd Av Subway station on the F line
