New Years Eve fireworks dessert party at MK?

Any ideas if there will be any? Disney needs to up their communication. People who booked for Christmas and beyond have had their ADR windows open and there is still no word on what’s happening on New Years.

Things can always change and sometimes Disney may tinker with exact offerings, but the typical pattern with NYE dessert party offerings is they get released/posted off schedule and an annual waiting/watch game ensues. Often threads like this become watch threads and one day we’ll all wake up to a random “hey guys, I was just able to book 12/31!” post and it’ll be a rush to book.

So... based on past experiences, where should we be looking on the Disney website to find when it goes live to book?

I keep looking on the enchanted extras page looking for a new offering that would be something like .... Fantasy in the Sky Dessert Party on New Years Eve with Plaza Garden Viewing.

Is that the best way? Or do you think that it won't be a new offering and I should be looking at the currently greyed out dates on one of the other enchanted extra offerings... which at the moment don't seem to be the most appropriate since they are all labeled with some other show... either Enchantment or Minnie's Christmastime fireworks.

Or is there yet another way to search that would make it easier to see when it goes live. I'm happy to check multiple times per day, but want to make sure I'm looking in the right place!

I actually just booked it! I hope it's the correct thing, it still says Enchantment! But I booked Dec 31!

What I booked is called "Magic Kingdom 50th fireworks dessert parties: Disney Enchantment After Party" on Dec 31 at 6:50pm (which I'm guessing is after the 6:30 show).

I really hope this is Fantasy in the Sky, not Enchantment. The party I booked is listed as Enchantment, but based on the earlier press release, I think they said Enchantment won't be shown that week, but instead it will be a Special NYE fireworks show (I assume Fantasy in the Sky).

I booked it because it is the only dessert party available so far to book, however, it will turn out to be the one I want to keep as long as the show really is Fantasy in the Sky (or new NYE fireworks show). I will probably switch it if they only do the NYE fireworks at midnight though, but that dessert party isn't available to book right now.

That is Enchantment and not Fantasy. We have done Enchantment (with dessert party twice) enough and are planning to just skip it or walk by.

It’s so frustrating. I don’t know if 1/2 will have extended hours for deluxe guests or not. I mean I can still switch to AOA ($1,250 cheaper). I’m not the only one asking

Regarding the fireworks, we either get the fantasy dessert party or we skip the fireworks part (we have 3 kids and those crowds are scary).

That is Enchantment and not Fantasy. We have done Enchantment (with dessert party twice) enough and are planning to just skip it or walk by.

Maybe or maybe not. Disney had a press release last week that stated that the Minnie Holiday fireworks will run 12/23-12/29, then NYE fireworks will run on 12/30 & 12/31, and Enchantment will return on Jan 1. So that press release makes it sound like NYE fireworks may show at both 6:30 and 11:50.

However, when I booked the party the word Enchantment is in the title, so maybe it will be Enchantment and not NYE fireworks at 6:30.

So since I'm not sure which show will run at 6:30, I booked it so I don't miss it. I can always switch to the later one when we know for sure (and when that is actually available to book).

Since the press release says Enchantment will return Jan 1, I don't think we will see Enchantment at all on Dec 31. My bet is two shows of NYE fireworks because that is what they did every other year, except last year. But if that isn't what they do, maybe they will run Minnie's Christmas fireworks at 6:30, and save the NYE fireworks until 11:50 (I kind of hope they do that!)

I just tried looking for any other posts apparently they do run the fireworks twice; midnight dessert party was not released till Nov 3rd though

Yes. Dessert party is available on 12/28 for Minnie’s Christmas show. That date is very clear. It is the 30 and 31 that we aren’t sure what the show will be
