New Year's Eve events or things to do outside the parks?

Some friends are checking into their resort on the 31st and aren't planning on going into the parks that day. Any suggestions on events or things to do to celebrate the 31st at the resorts? They'll be at Old Key West but will also have a car. Any special events happening at Disney Springs on NYE?

Driving is not a good idea. It can be like a parking lot on the roads at times. Disney transport is better.

OKW has a boat to Disney Springs so if interested that’s a good way to go.

Then can also bus to any of the mono resorts and mono hop around, Same for boardwalk area, bus to BWI,YC/BC and stroll around.

There will be people dressed up and casual too. It’s a fun time to be at wdw.

FYI fireworks at 6:30 from MK. You can see them from lots of places along the monorail.

Here is a pic of the activities that OKW had last NYE. I heard BW is a pretty good place on NYE also.
