New Years Eve at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar

HI All,

Anyone ever do NYE at Trader Sam's? Going to be in the area and there is no way I am dragging my (gasp) non-Disney loving husband to the park. SO looking for a fun alternative that includes drinks! I've got a reservation at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for dinner already. (booked directly through the restaurant)

Reservations open for Trader Sam's in a few weeks so I was looking for anyone who has gone to ring in the NY

Any notes would be helpful!

Reservations at Trader Sam's?! Is there some special New Years Eve event?

It sort of depends on the atmosphere you're looking for at Trader Sam's. It's small, like you'll either get a seat at the car or a seat at one of the 6-7 tables inside and then there's really nowhere to walk because it's so small inside. I'm not sure if they do outdoor seating on NYE, I think they'd practically have to, so it depends if you want to see the effects or not. I don't do DLR on NYE, but if going out I try to get a late seating reservation somewhere and stay at that restaurant until midnight. Or go out early and then go to a party. I'm sure Trader Sam's is fun on NYE, but I just don't know if the experience is that different on another day and time, except for a countdown.

Thanks. I've been to trader sams before. I was just wondering if anyone had been there before on NYE if they do anything special like they do for MahaloWeen.

If they're taking reservations isn't there a chance that they're doing something? Mahaloween is a ticketed event, but other than that there aren't reservations for Trader Sam's.
