How many people are planning to spend NYE @ the world? We will be staying at the AKL and was wondering what other people have planned for this night. Last year we spent NYE @ Epcot and really enjoyed the fireworks. The crowds were crazy. We were looking for suggestions for this year. We will be seeing the MK's fireworks on the 30th. What your you plans or please give me suggestions.

Hi! We have been at WDW on NYE for the last 5 years. We have done a few different things. Last year and the year before we spent it at EPCOT. The first year we did the party/buffet dinner in the tent between Canada and England (I forget what they call it?) The food was plentiful and amazing, the band was great and we had a wonderful time. Only thing was it took is a long time to get seated even with our ADR. After we watched the fireworks at World Showcase and we did not like the crowds - really crazy. Last year instead of watching the fireworks we went on rides in Futureworld while the crowds were waiting for fireworks. We walked onto Soarin - no wait and then watched the fireworks from right outside of the building. Two years ago we had dinner at the Yahtsman Steakhouse at the Yaht Club and then a fireworks cruise. That was amazing but the timing is key. Four years ago we went to an outdoor party at the Boardwalk and watched the fireworks from the bridge. The first year we went to MK - I don't recommend it. The lines were hours long and your couldn't move in the Park. They had closed the MK and you couldn't leave and be able to get back in. It was almost frightening and we will never do that again. I think my favorite was the dinner and fireworks cruise. They are pricey but if you can find someone to share the boat with (depending on your party size) I think it becomes reasonable for what you get. I think it also depends on the weather too so if it rains you need to have a plan B. We will be there again this year but have no plans yet the 90 day mark is coming up soon so I've been thinking about a MK fireworks cruise as we did EPCOT that other time and dinner at Kona Cafe which is our absolute favorite place to eat! Hope this helps!
