Hi Disney Friends!

My Fiance and I are getting married the morning of New Year's Eve (12/21/20) and then leaving for our Honeymoon in Disney World. We should be arriving to our hotel around 6PM EST on New Year's Eve.

I am looking for ideas/plans we should make to celebrate. I know the parks are busy, so I am not 100% looking to enter a park. But, I've heard that making a reservation at Narcoossee's is tremendous. I'd like the evening to be memorable, but also not crazy expensive.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Michele

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials.

Question if you don’t mind, where are you staying?

Getting around property on NYE can be more challenging than normal times. Lots of traffic, etc.

MK does their special fireworks at 6:30pm and 11:50pm. I’ve never been to Narcoossee’s for 12/31 so can’t comment on there. We’ve stayed at Poly the last few years and the view from all of the MK resorts is fantastic.

BTW, :welcome: to the DIS!

Thank you!

We are staying on property at Caribbean Beach from the 31st through the 8th. I know parks can be crazy and we won't be at our hotel until around 6 so was looking for some good ideas.

Thanks again 😊

As GADisneyDad14 mentioned, getting around WDW property on NYE can be quite difficult, but you are actually in a great spot to easily access NYE celebrations in the EP resort area. Here is a list of the some of the special dinners/events they did last year including a New Years Eve dinner at Topolinos (you could walk to Riviera from CBR), dinner at Flying Fish or a celebration at Atlantic Dance Hall (you can access the Boardwalk area via Skyliner). Or you could even have dinner somewhere else in the EP resort area and see some of the higher EP fireworks from the bridge area if you don't want to spend a lot on one of the dedicated NYE events.

I spent Christmas Day through New Year’s Day 2019/2020 at WDW. It was crowded but we had a blast. Several resorts had special events so look out for those as they can be pricey but are really magical and sell out quickly.

New Year’s Eve was our last full day so we went to a park. We were at Pop so similar to you staying at a Skyliner resort. Went to the Studios and though we did not get there until after 11 were able to join a boarding group for Rise, not a definite one a tentative one. Got multiple FP for TOT, Aliens Swirling Saucer, Toy Story Mania, RNR, could not get Slinky. DD got on Millennium Falcon on single rider line. We were able to snag same day dessert party seating for Fantasmic. And our boarding group was called cause the park was open late so we rode Rise. They gave out hats and noise makers. Over all it was an awesome day even though it was crowded.

Additionally they had a special New Year’s Day brunch at Topolino’s Terrace that I could not get seating for but I heard was amazing.

NYE at Epcot was the most fun I have had in years. I would definitely try to make reservation for dinner (italian restaurant in Epcot is good choice), and then dance and enjoy everything Epcot has to offer. Such a great way to create memories! Congratulations!
