Hi.

Has anyone been to DTD on NYE?
Do they do a countdown in the "street"?

I am very torn on where to be but we are staying at SSR in the Treehouse Villas so
being at DTD is the most logical but I also have reservations for 9 pm at Yachtsman
as well as 9 pm for Epcot Buffet at World Showcase. I thought we should be at Epcot
but now wondering if we should just do it a different day. We are leaving to go home the next day
and will be picked up by ME mid morning. I'm not worried about staying up/out late.

My family of four consists of a 18 and 22 year old so I'm not dealing with little kids but
want to be able to enjoy a nice dinner. A fun evening with a countdown is fine. Fireworks
are a bonus but not a dealbreaker.

What would you all do?

Thank you.

Disney Springs will have entertainment all over and the dance party (usually geared tpward little ones) on the Fountain Stage. Each entertainment group will probably do a countdown but that will be about it.
You can also go to the top of the garage and watch the fireworks from Epcot and MK (and DHS if they have one) but you will not be able to hear the music associated with them
The only thing with going to Epcot or YC will be the traffic getting out. I prefer going to Epcot for NYE if you want a more grown up party atmosphere, just be prepared to not leave the park until about 1:30 am
I found this video from Dominick, he's one of the performers at DS

Thank you VERY much!
I am going to talk to my dd-22 and my dh tonight.
I will let them know there is activity at DTD on NYE and if we go to Epcot, we will plan on walking out of there about 1:30 am and then board busses
back to SSR. They can decide and then I will have to move on LOL If they decide Epcot, I'll have to then decide to keep my Yachtsman 9 pm and then walk to
Epcot or my Epcot World Showcase buffet. I'll report back tomorrow and work from there. Thank you so much!

We will be there for NY this year as well. We're planning on staying in EPCOT for the fireworks, but with that said - there are fireworks all the time everywhere, so if plans change, we may go to DTD (DS) too. Youngest in our group is 11 so honestly, if we're anywhere near some kind of party - we're all good!

In addition, we had planned to do the buffet as well, but when we asked about it somewhere in this forum, we decided against it. For us, it made more sense to have a sit down dinner in a restaurant we knew we'd enjoy. Whatever you decide, it'll be the right decision and you'll have a great time regardless!

CHEERS!
