Just wondering if and how the Rose Parade typically affects the crowds at DL on the morning of Jan. 1. Also what are the crowds like at DCA on New Years Eve during the day. Will we able to leave DCA and then get back in... and why are there no parades in DCA on New Years Eve???

When I was talking about NYE with some cast members last year, they shuddered and got a very frightened look on their faces.

Expect to go to the parks early and STAY in the parks. Don't leave, you probably won't get back in. DCA might not be as tough as DL, but then again, if there are bunches of people being turned away from DL b/c it's full, they'll want to go *somewhere* and might crowd DCA.

DCA closes early always, so maybe that's why no parades? Or maybe the calendar isn't updated?

New Year's Eve is always jammed pack crazy. New Year's Day is busy, but not like eve. I've never been to DCA during New Year's bc I'd rather be in DL and bc I don't want to get denied going into the park after I'd left, but I imagine that it's not as bad as DL, but still have crowds.
