I tore out a whole chunk of mine...all the Med info, as I didn't want any distractions, like peeking at those excursions that I won't be going on!

Adrian may want to join us in Key West as we have a beer in Ernest Hemingways house(the one that Kaz said smelled of cat pee :rotfl2: I must be so immature as that cracks me up everytime), anyway we'll toast good ole Ernie, it sounds like fun, and I don't even drink beer, but I will for this occasion. How's THAT for a run-on sentence??:rotfl: OMG I sound like Nan!

What part of that sounded like me the cat pee or beer ? (I don't really want my sentence to end here, but I have to pose a question now or you won't understand what I said...Been doing the cookie booth thing...almost to 550 goal (NOT!) we did a booth Friday night (traders joes) 145 boxes, Sat night Safeway 185 boxes, this morning Trader Joes 115 boxes...and her preorders....after the booth this morning we had a coust meeting we did the walking fitness badge and during the cool down stretches Molly dislocated her knee, fortunately it popped back in, so no harm no foul (and not going to the doctor for a $500 exam and xray to hear that same thing...but darn it she is missing out on the booth tonight because we didn't want her to have to stand on it today.

was that long enough run on for ya???

That honestly sounds like something he may enjoy...he just said Cool! (That means yes ::yes:: )

Nan....we miss you honey...:dance3:

missing you too, but between Paul travelling to Atlanta last week (got home last night) and heavy work load and cookie sales and that darn repo thread that keeps me more than DIS occupied I haven't much time for anything or thread else... I'm pretending this cruise isn't on the fore front for now, because if I do I'd have to face the facts that we aren't looking like we can afford this 2nd trip in the same year...so if I pretend it's not here until we get home then we can miss the ship so much that we'll figure out how to go. Nice backassward plan huh?

Our reunion sounds like it's going bust! No Grim, maybe no Tig, maybe no Nan. :sad1: Jill, you still plan on going, right?

Let's see - hmmm - Well, we did the Xcaret in 2004 & I really enjoyed that. I didn't get many pics of it last time. I would like to do that again.

Aisling, my old passporter says we arrived at 9;30 am & all ashore was 10:30. The all aboard was 10:30 pm & port departure was 11:00 pm.

Yes, Aisling, going as of this very moment is a most definite.

I hope our Christmas Cruise 2005 gang can have a reunion with us all someday, maybe at DL one day in the future.

Jill, do you know where we'll be on NYE, I mean do we do Coz or Cayman that day? I'm Too lazy to check the site.

I am sorry to hear that Nan but as you know I completely understand...I'm in a little boat right alongside you...between my unemployment and John's injury I only see my two kids making it onto this cruise...Mom's already said she's going no matter what~

Nan, of course I understand, too.
And holy cow Molly was lucky her knee didn't stay popped! I think the two of you must be dreaming of girl scout cookies by now!

It might be Cozumel based on Mom's paperwork that I have copies of...

I'm not saying I'm not going I'm just saying I'm pretending I'm not going...you see the difference? I figure once the repo is over we will then want to cruise again, but right now, just doesn't seem pressing...

I see the difference. Pretending is a GOOD thing, just like I'll be pretending I'm going on the Repo cruise with you. Oh wait, I can't, I tore out all those pages from my Passporter!!!

Hey kids, I got a call from Louise, and I know where she booked for WDW this summer! Wanna know?popcorn::

While you're deciding if you want to know where Chad and Louise are booked at WDW, I found this picture that some of the 2008 NYE cruisers may be interested in. It's a picture of Chad with the group of college-age kids he met on the ship, at a "Mixer", and these kids bonded like BFFs! They still keep in touch. I just thought this photo was really sweet, and I wanted to share. Some of you may have seen it before.

Here's another one, just to show those with college age kids that there will be other kids their age to hang around with.

Here's one of Chad singing karaoke. Man, if I only knew how to upload to youtube...!!!

Those are good pictures Aisling. I guess as my kids get older we will probably stick with DCL and its good to see the older ones having fun to. I will say on our September 2007 cruise I really didn't notice alot of older kids and barely any teens - but I wonder if that was because it was doing school.

And yes - it is me who is interested in the ruins - I really and honestly don't care about which ones I will just be grateful to have company. My husband has no desire to see them but that's Shannon - good ole midwestern kid. Me on the other hand - traveled since I was a baby - dad was Navy - so I love to be elsewhere.

This is the itinerary:
Sunday 12/28 - Key West
Monday 12/29 - Sea
Tuesday 12/30 - Grand Cayman
Wednesday 12/31 - Cozumel
Thursday 01/01 - sea
Friday 01/02 Castaway Cay

So....Disneyland was pretty darn good....got to LA about 10:30 pm Thursday night...& was able to get the boys up; (with SOME protests) & to the park before 9...so we were able to get into the park & stand on main street to see them open the park.....:woohoo:

So this is my 1st time at Disney on Feb 29th....& i just had this great feeling as we traveled from the parking lot to the entrance on the tram....& sure enough, as soon as we got to the park, & the boys met up with the CORE team (who had been in LA on thurs for Catholic Youth Day), they were in the right place at the right time AND THEY ALL got DREAM FASTPASSES!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: stacey & I got them too as a cast member told us just to go to City Hall & they give the remaining family members the same prizes...it wasn't as fun as winning them BUT i was SOOOO glad that all the kids "won' them - they really made out perfect trip so much more magical!!!

Nan...Colleen....I'm just going to keep lots of P&PD that you do make this cruise...i'm SOOOO looking forward to this whole group!!! I'm off to bed now....i did catch a horrible cold/flu so been pretty sick the last 2 days

I just checked your sig Kaz, you've done August in FL a few times...what has been your experience weatherwise???

When travelling as a family, we have to go in either Easter, Summer or Christmas school vacation time and, of the three, prefer summer - usually the last two weeks in August. It's hot and can be showery but the rain tends to be over quite quickly. The rain's quite useful as it can thin the crowds out! ;) It's also busy but I've yet to visit WDW and the parks be all that quiet... We're going again next August but will be in WDW a week earlier than usual so intrigued to see what that's like...

It was Kaz that went to Tulum with her hubby on her vow renewal cruise,

Anjelica is the one that *wants* to go and see ruins (none were specified.)

Tulum is on the mainland of Mexico. Cozumel has their own ruins but that didn't get as good a review as Tulum did...

Certainly did!!! :thumbsup2

Sounds a fab trip, Brenda!!! How great for the whole group to pick up Dream Fastpasses!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I know it made our day when Samuel and I scored a couple in AK last December... :goodvibes

Me too! Fingers crossed guys... :goodvibes

Still in trip limbo this end too and it's not just the expense that's proving tough to deal with!!! DD's BF has just been offered his first hospital post as a Junior Doctor in August (Hurray for Dr. Joe!!! :cheer2: ) BUT it looks like he won't be able to take New Year off!! :sad2: PLUS DH's gonna quit Citi this week and, once his 3 months off are up, he will be doing loadsa travelling to the Far East to establish his new business. He's a positive upbeat kinda guy but is unsure he will want to take too much time off so early in the start-up as well as not wanting to do any extra long-haul flights... :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 We're just going to have to wait and see...

...i did catch a horrible cold/flu so been pretty sick the last 2 days
Hope you feel better soon, Brenda!!!

If the cruise runs smooth the itineray is usually (IF they have problems they will switch up)
27 Port Carnavaral
28 Key West
29 Day at Sea
30 Grand Cayman
31 Cozumel
01 Day at Sea
02 Castaway Cay
03 Welcome Home

I remember now why I don't have too many pics of Xcaret ha-ha I filmed it.
I have more pics of the ruins because Laurie took the reg camera & I had the cam corder. duh :lmao:

Colleen - you asked about August weather in Fl. Thats a portion of hurricane season. anything is possible. I've been in Fl, Pensacola & Orlando, several times in Aug. I lived in Pensacola for quite a while.

It's primaily warm & sunny, with chance of rain every day.

In Aug 2004. There were many storms & a major hurricane in Aug - Sep. Thats why we didn't get to do Key West & Costa Maya was added.

Hope that helped a little :hippie:
