Hi Grim, thanks for de-lurking. Are you anywhere near the stadium in AZ? I'm so buzzed on pina coladas, and I feel goooooooooood!

Yup, we live about 10 miles away from the stadium. Why, was there some event yesterday?

I was just wondering if you were close enough to go by the stadium to see all the excitement.

Hi Magic Matey's

Did you all read about the new Aquatica water park at Sea World? It looks like a blast! Jeff and I will be staying about 2 miles from there the week after the cruise. I think we will need to spend a day there and a day at Sea World.

Tigg, your poor husband looks like he is in so much pain. I hope he's feeling better with each passing day.

OMG.. I just checked the air from Boston to Orlando and its WAY high for the cruise. I had priced this out last year, based on the same dates.. and the fares are DOUBLE and they just opened today for the return flights.. How is THAT possible???

Anyone other than CustardTart try to book ressies and find the air is way up there????

That's exactly what I did, Kelly - I wouldn't have booked the cruise otherwise as that's costing enough! Not only are the flight prices way higher, but (for us) there's not that many flights out there! I'm completely puzzled, frustrated and disappointed!!! :sad2:

I've explained the problem to the kids and they're philosophical about it, bless them. I'm still searching and playing with dates... :surfweb:

Hi Kay.

I've been checking air prices, too, and it's outrageous. For our 2005 cruise we paid less than $200 each from JFK to MCO, on Christmas eve, and great times. It's insane now. I may have to go back to work as a temp just to pay for these freakin plane tickets.

Wanna hear something more outrageous? I'm leaving tomorrow for Minneapolis and then driving to North Dakota to visit my new baby nephew, and it's costing me $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell Mel, he'll kill me. Ok, so that'll come out of my McDonalds budget for the next 5 years! To be honest, though, I could have gotten a $300 fare, but I refuse to fly on those single engine teeny tiny planes, so for my peace of mind, I have to shell out the big bucks to fly on a REAL jet.

I'm waiting for Jetblue to open their December fares, as I can usually get a decent fare from them, but so far all the other airlines are pure robbery.

oh my - what an awful price. But I know what you mean about the teeny, tiny planes. They scare me to death also.

I flew with Linda (seaulater) on one not long ago and she had to talk me to death to keep it off my mind. She was exhausted when we arrived. :rotfl2:

hope we'll be cruisin' together real soon. will be happy to meet you.

Just a reminder that the government will hopefully be sending out some rebate checks in May or June. Nice way to put the money back into the economy and use it for your airfare to MCO, at least that is what we are doing. $600 for you and another $600 for spouse, and $300 for each kid, so try not to fret to much :)

Today's United fares from SFo to MCO were $565...we flew Southwest in April....a lot cheaper of course but such a pain...& LONG days with all their stops
