I just asked Chad and Louise about upgrading to a Deluxe for the night before, and they feel it isn't worth the money just for the one night.:sad1: I guess they're more practical than I am, preferring to use that money on excursions and such. Rotten kids.

Rottenly Smart! :thumbsup2

Ok, I could use that extra money for the Candlelight Processional, but I only want to go if Gary Sinise is narrating, so I'll have to wait and see.

or a sleigh ride, or a dinner, or some shopping, or an excursion :scratchin

Gary did Christmas Day or eve this last year...I'd go just to see him ::yes::

Sunday is Mother's Day in the UK, (or Britain or England or all of those:rotfl2: ), and so I wish CustardTart aka Kaz aka Karen aka our lovely European friend, HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!

Thanx honey!!!

Had a lovely day - I was invited to lunch at a local Greek restaurant where the champagne flowed and the food kept coming - delicious!!! Had some fab gifts too - Philosophy goodies, a DS Disney game, Rush Hour box set, Cadbury's choccies, a beeootiful bauble from NYC World of Disney store and a bottle of Chocolate Block wine DD and I loved in Jiko last October!!! Wonderful kids... :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

I want my next Dolphin experience to be at Discovery Cove.

We should plan for a 2009 Universal/Discovery Cove trip. In 2009, there's supposed to be some new Universal stuff completed, not sure what.

We are planning a 2009 trip - August to be exact!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Can't wait to go back to Discovery Cove - I fancy the Twilight option if they do that again next year PLUS I'm looking forward to trying Aquatica!!! Apparently you can rent cabanas there... :cloud9:

I think the Wizarding World of Harry Potter isn't due for completion till 2010 but the new Simpsons ride will be up and running.... :goodvibes

I honestly tend to stay away from summertime in Florida :confused3 It's too rainy :(

have any of you been in FL in August before?

Happy Mother's Day Kaz!

I'm wearing my I°o°NY Hoodie today~

I just checked your sig Kaz, you've done August in FL a few times...what has been your experience weatherwise???

Oh bummer - I have fallen in love with the WL. We also love the AKL and we recently just purchased more DVC for AKL (our only home resort now is WL). I think we will be "glued" to WDW and the cruises for years to come.

Aisling - thanks for the offer on the ruins. I may take you up on it as long as it wouldn't be imposing. I need to dig out my 2007 passporter and read some more on the other locations and what we (my family) can do together. I think we are leaning towards staying on the boat for the Key West day.

THat's what I did, I dug out my Passporter to get my list~

We always mix up our trips...since the kids and Mom will do WDW and the cruise the end of this year we will most likely go back over to the Uni and Sea World side for the year after.

I just found out that Chad and Louise (my son and his girlfriend, for those who may not know) have booked a WDW trip for this summer, after he gets back from Rome!

Lou, are you out there, is it true????????????????????????? You BOOKED!!! Where?

Colleen
Did you look up that site so Aisling can see the Navigators for NYE:grouphug: . The administrators will not let that site be listed here.

Jill, I'm very bad with not checking my email, but I just did, and I got the link. Thank you!:thumbsup2

I got the email and forwarded it to her.

Adrian approved the Tulum ruins tour tonight.

Mom, have you any idea what tour you'd pick for Cozumel?

Where ya at Louise and Chad???

Dish!!!

Chad's at basketball, so I'm going to have to call Lou to ask her. I knew they were planning, but I think Chad, in the middle of running out the door, that they booked!

Tulum looks cool. Is that the one Anjelica went to? I have to read back a few posts.

Edited to add: I think Anjelica is interested in Tulum, too. Gonna take another looksee in my Passporter. I've started carrying my Passporter around with me everywhere I go, so for me, that means it's almost cruise time!!!!!!!!! I know, I'm pathetic!!!!!!!!

Edited again to add: I know I mentioned this before, but it really annoys me that in the Passporter, it says the Coz day is 10:30 AM to 10:00PM. On the Disney website, it's all aboard at 7:30PM. Three hours is a big difference!

We (DH and I) did the Tulum Ruins excursion in September - we met in the morning at 9.30am and returned at around 4pm, so pretty much a full day. We absolutely LOVED it and would do it again but the family want to go to Xcaret...

It was Kaz that went to Tulum with her hubby on her vow renewal cruise,

Anjelica is the one that *wants* to go and see ruins (none were specified.)

Tulum is on the mainland of Mexico. Cozumel has their own ruins but that didn't get as good a review as Tulum did.

Adrian also likes the Nautilus undersea tour (which includes going to an underwater wreck) and Reef snorkel at Grand Cayman.

I have Mom's excursion list and it says they sailed out of Cozumel at 11pm.

It also says the ruins are for "5 yo and older, although not recommended for children under 8"

eta: My Passporter is now settled in right next to me at my DISing desk~

I tore out a whole chunk of mine...all the Med info, as I didn't want any distractions, like peeking at those excursions that I won't be going on!

Adrian may want to join us in Key West as we have a beer in Ernest Hemingways house(the one that Kaz said smelled of cat pee :rotfl2: I must be so immature as that cracks me up everytime), anyway we'll toast good ole Ernie, it sounds like fun, and I don't even drink beer, but I will for this occasion. How's THAT for a run-on sentence??:rotfl: OMG I sound like Nan!

That honestly sounds like something he may enjoy...he just said Cool! (That means yes ::yes:: )

Nan....we miss you honey...:dance3:
