Baahahahahaha!

grim pirate:

Grim, do you still have your rat??

Nan, I have to say that rat looks CREEPY in your tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: I see it's become a Christmas tradition in your house!:lmao:

LOVE the tree Nan!! even the 'rats'....and the house looks great...we're just now getting lights on our tree...Jen & I picked it out (& paid for it this a.m) then Dale & Ryan went to pick it up while Jen & I went up to the city. It was really nice there today (which is hit & miss with San Francisco). We had a nice little brunch at the Grand Cafe near Union Square & then went to see Jersey Boys. good show...but a lot of 'little' kids there with a lot of bad boy language....:scared1:

it will take me all wk to get house decorated esp as we have a BB game tuesday night & a school sports banquet on thurs night - then we leave friday afternoon for Disneyland...uhhh gee - guess that gives me tonite & tomorrow night as wed night i'll need to pack....well maybe some of it will have to be done when i return on sunday....

Aisling - hope you had a wonderful day with Fr. Casey! Kaz...the pots will be there waiting when you return if you don't get them planted prior to leaving.

I'm on the trail of some winter flowering pansies and ivy this very afternoon, Brenda! After feeling not so good last week, I'm in 'action' mode right now - which is just as well as we leave on Friday!!! :scared1:

Just finished getting the spare room ready for my MIL - all new bedlinen and a gorgeous comforter set so we're ready to receive the grand dame. ;) My SIL is suddenly being vague about whether she'll be joining us for New Year tho' she's sending her DD down with MIL which seems a little strange. :confused3 Dick is already irritated by her prevaricating - families, eh?! So complex - sometimes I'm relieved I'm an orphan... :rolleyes1

And now I'm off to the gym - I think this will be my last session with the personal trainer before Christmas, so better write her a card... :thumbsup2

BFN...

Oooh and I meant to say Dick is very excited today as he's off to see the Led Zeppelin reunion tonight!!! He's feeling a whole lotta love as it's been a long time since he rock n rolled... ;) :rockband:

Kaz, I can't wait to hear about Dick's night with Led Zeppelin!!!!!!!!!

He's around here somewhere. I can assure you he's not with the Christmas decoration though :rotfl2:

grim pirate:

What are you implying...aren't rats always part of Xmas decorations?

I actually had a whole tote that contained my Disney decorations, the rats are in that tote. Forever more Disney and Rats

Aisling, we went to IKEA tonight....watch your mailbox....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Molly walked right up and grabbed a bag o rats for you :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Molly rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nan, loved your decorations, so homey and cozy. I still haven't finished my decorating, but will put some pics up when I'm done.

Grim, do you let Piper play with the rat?

So, how many more days before the cruise?

Another cold one here - all sun and bright blue sky so absolutely no protective and insulating cloud cover!

Hope my MMs are all well! :grouphug: Only 3 more sleeps till Sammy and I escape to the sun - can't wait as I think I'm good to go. Famous last words, right?! ;)

Looking forward to meeting up with Colleen on Friday night so keep all your fingers (and everything/anything else) crossed that our flight's not too delayed - I so want to say hello to the lady! :thumbsup2 Colleen, if you're out there, hope you're having a fab time...

I sneakily did DS's washing, ironing and packing yesterday afternoon. :laundy: I didn't want him see shorts and tee shirts in his case - we all know Paris is freezing at this time of year! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: And it's my turn today. I'm just hoping I can still squeeze into October's vacation wardrobe otherwise there'll be trouble... :rotfl2:

Kaz, I can't wait to hear about Dick's night with Led Zeppelin!!!!!!!!!

He had an awesome time, Aisling! There were some other bands as support - including Foreigner and Paul Rodgers from Free (remember 'Alright Now'?) who is Dick's all-time fave vocalist, so he was on a high before the main event started!

The original surviving members of Led Zep were joined by John Bonham's son, Jason who's also a rock drummer. Dick last saw them back in 1979 just before John Bonham died so he was so delighted by the continuity and the fact that they did all of their classics brilliantly. Bless him, he was still buzzing from the event when he returned home at around 12.40am... :cloud9: I don't think he'll ever forget it...

Sparrow, the Pirate (sung to the tune of "Frosty, the Snowman")

Sparrow, the pirate, was a jolly, happy guy,
With a beaded beard and a mustache, too,
And some black around his eye.

Sparrow, the pirate, is a witty one they say,
He could trick a man with a clever plan,
And then call it all a day.

There must have been some magic in that compass that he had.
For when he held it in his hand, he could steer to secret land.

Oh, Sparrow, the pirate, is the best out on the seas.
Though he needs a bath and some new teeth, too,
He will do just what he'll please.

Scallywag, savvy? Scallywag, savvy?
Look at Sparrow sail.
Scallywag, savvy? Scallywag, savvy?
This is his grand, big tale! pirate:

Pirate Ships (sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells")

We're dashing through the seas, in a two-mast pirate ship,
O'er the waves we go, laughing all the way (yo ho ho!),
The sails and skull-flag wave, making pirates bright,
What fun it is to sail and sing a pirate song tonight!

Pirate ships, pirate ships, yo ho all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to sail in a two-mast pirate ship.
Pirate ships, pirate ships, yo ho all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to sail in a two-mast pirate ship! pirate:

Deck the Ships (to be sung to the tune of "Deck the Halls")

Deck the ships with lots of booty, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho,
'Tis the season to be looting, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Don we now our pirate clothing, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Think of us with lots of loathing, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.

Set the blazing town before us, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Cannons fire and join the chorus, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Give us all your gold and treasure, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Then your maidens'll give us pleasure! Yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho! pirate:

Kaz, I was never a Led Z fan, but I know this was a major reunion, and I'm glad Dick had a great time. Why didn't you go with him?

Nan, most of the accessories in my house are from Ikea, I love that store! Where are you going to put that table? I'll be looking forward to my rats, as our Ikea doesn't sell them here. Too many real rats around, I guess!

Love the pirate songs!:lmao:

I'm on my way to Circuit City to look for a video cam for Jesse. I got him an electric guitar from Santa for Christmas morning, and the camera will be from me and Mel on Christmas Eve. He wants to make movies with his friends, so I hope I can find something suitable and not too expensive. I still have my kids write letters to Santa and hang them up on their Christmas stockings, and this is what Jesse has down for what he wants. I'm still waiting for Chad to write his letter, as he's been busy with school work, and girlfriend stuff. But if he wants presents, Santa can't bring them without a letter!

Good day, everyone!

DH's company Citi have a box at the venue and he got to go in the interest of client, rather than wife, entertaining. Imagine that!!? Anyway, the competition for tickets was mightily fierce with important NYC-based employees pulling rank to take their clients - I really don't know how Dick managed to keep such a tight hold on his allocation! I'm thinking some chest beating, feral growling and shirt ripping... ;) :scared1: :rotfl2:

We've got Samuel an electric guitar - he asked Santa for a replacement amp but Mrs Santa said that seemed way too boring... :goodvibes I'm thinking of getting Matty a cheap n cheerful video camera. Something like these... Good luck with your shopping trip, Aisling... :thumbsup2

Hi all...busy night last night...cleaning my garage AND decoratiing the tree...will finish decorations tomorrow (we are having our company Xmas luncheon - then have the rest of the day off - so lots of time to decorate AND even pack for Disneyland...want to leave by 2:30 Friday...that will / should get us to DTD by 9pmish - allowing for 'normal' friday night L.A. traffic...which is slow to slower:rotfl2:

Good morning,

My livingroom is a big mess with Christmas decorations all over the place, and I have to get to putting them all up. I don't know why, but I feel overwhelmed by it all this year. I think because Jesse's surgery is next week, and that's all I can think about. But I really have to get the decorations done and clear out my living room, because it's been a mess for days, and my family's patience isn't going to last much longer!

I wonder what Tiggie is doing right now in WDW. And Kaz, I can't wait to hear about Sam's reaction when he finds out you're going to WDW on Friday! And Brenda going to DL. And Grim going to WDW. Wow, you're a bunch of lucky people! I so need a trip to the World, but it'll come soon.

So I'll be busy in the house today, no running around the city for me. My wallet will appreciate that!
