New Years day this year?

Hey all,
I am coming down for the Rose Bowl(Go Ducks!) The GF and I are DL vets and have gone many times. We always hit the holidays at DL in early December or go in September. What do you guys think the crowds are going to be like on Jan 1st? I know its usually really busy but is it less then the week of the 25-31st? We just went to WDW 3 weeks ago, so if it is going to be insane we don't need to go. I just want to ride Indy and Screamin, and see the magic of DL as we felt it is way better experience vs WDW.

I'm sure since many have the day off it will be insane. The insane holidays crowds should subside until Monday or Tuesday as people leave to return to work and school.


If you just want to do a few ride, that is realistic. If you don't want to see huge crowds to do that, you have been enough to consider skipping it.

Also, as you area aware, the rose parade/bowl are on Monday 1/2 this year, so this may effect the crowds.

We are too! GO DUCKS!!! I think you have to just keep zen about it;get there early and keep realistic expectations. The Deluxe annual passes are blocked on the 31st, but not on the 1st. The top level SoCal pass is valid on the 2nd, but then you will be busy that day anyway!
