We are surprising our 2dds with a cruise for Christmas! We have cruised on the Dream and the Wonder, but this will be our first time on the Fantasy and our first time since our kids were smaller (now 9 & 11). Questions: Should we let our 11 dd wander the boat/check herself in & out of kids club?

And, should we see the new Star Wars on the boat or beforehand?

Does anyone know if they are playing the other Star Wars movies as well? I know that this is not a Star Wars at Sea cruise :(

DH and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary on the cruise. Going to Palos that night. We are not quite adventurous enough to enjoy Remy's a second time. Other suggestions to celebrate?

When is the best night for BibbidiBobbidi boutique? Would New Year's Eve be fun? If I book it for both girls and when we get there they don't want to do it (older one is a tomboy) can I cancel onboard with no charge?

Sorry for so many questions. Really appreciate advice. Cruise was insanely expensive!

We did the NYE cruise on the Fantasy 13/14 and it was great.

If your 11 year old is going to attend the Edge - there is no check-in/out. Kids are able to come and go as they please. You will want to make rules that you are comfortable with. Many of the activities that they do are out and about the ship.

Whether you give your children sign in and sign out privilege depends totally on your comfort and the maturity of your child. We did a 7 day cruise on the Fantasy and only gave the privilege to our daughter after day 4 or so. She had a wave phone and had to call us before using the sign out privilege so we knew when she was leaving the club. Though there was no sign in/out for Edge we had the same expectation of keeping in contact for our son there.
