New Years at BLT

Hi Everyone,

We will be arriving at Bay Lake on New Year's Eve. We are trying to make plans on child care or keeping our son with us. Our son is 5. He has been to the clubs before and loves them.

Questions:

- Does anyone know if the kids club like the Neverland Club are open past midnight just for NYE?

- For those who have spent NYE in TOTW, are there kids there?

We don't usually keep him up late. But with a long nap and some other kids, maybe it will be worth it.

I'm tempted by the dinner and dessert party in MK, but the price seems too high. Plus, I'm guessing the park is insane crowded.

Any other suggestions are welcome!! Thanks

We have not stayed at BLT yet, but we will be for the first time. We arrive on New Year's Eve as well. We should be at BLT by 1pm so we are hoping that by 4pm the room is ready and then the kids can have a long nap. We have a late ADR at Chef Mickey's and then plan on taking our children to the TOTW lounge for the fireworks. Our kids will be 2.5, 5, 7 so there will be other kids there that yours can hang out with! See you there...only 130 more days!!!

we arrive at BLT NYE as well (10 of us). first time...its gonna be wicked crowded. a friend went last year and it took them 2 1/2 hours to get there from MCO using magical express....we're hoping monday will thin out..we went the last 2 years the monday after new years and the crowds werent bad at all...looking forward to TOTWL ourselves.

We have been at BLT for the week of Christmas and NYE for the last 2 years. We have DD's that were 8 and 6 our first year and they had the best time @ the TOTWL. They have special drinks for the night they give out cool hats and crowns and blowers! They are not like the ones given out in the parks so they are extra special. They have a DJ and a big to do that night. We have not ever stayed till midnight however! We have been in MK on NYE once! Never again with or without kids would we do that again. We have never put our children in any clubs so I can't answer any details of that. If we go to a park on NYE it is Epcot. Love the energy and its big enough to handle lots of people! Just note that when you leave Epcot to go back to BLT the MK will be closed due to capacity and the CM's will not want you to take the monorail. You will need to explain that you are staying @ BLT and they will let you up the ramps! Have fun enjoy the planning!
