My husband and I visited WDW in Oct. 2005 (our 5 year anniversary). We left our then 1 year old son and 3 year old son at home for that one. We had such a great time. The day after we got home my DH was online researching about taking another trip. That is when he happened upon the DIS boards. My DH has now truely become a disney fanatic (I think it is very cute). So, in May 2006 we took our 3 year old son down. We had a great trip. Our son loved everything! His favorite was Splash Mountain. We stayed at POP and loved it. So, when we got home we thought we would definitely go again but wait until our youngest was 3 or 4. Well, we couldn't wait that long. So on January 1st 2008 our whole family will enjoy a magical trip. We were not able to get POP since it was kind of a last minute plan. We are staying at CBR. I am very excited. My sons are now 2 and 4. The 2 year old will not be able to go on everything but there is still so much he can do. Here is our trip outline so far (mostly just our ADRs):

January 1st- MGM in the afternoon (can't wait to see the lights) We have an ADR at Sci Fi Dine-In Theatre for dinner

2nd- WDW ADR at Tony's for dinner (then hopefully catch the parade)

3rd- WDW (EMH in am) breakfast at Chef Mickey's

4th- Maybe Epcot?? ADR at Whispering Canyon (not sure if this will be worth the travel...would love some feedback)

5th- AK- ADR at Tusker House for breakfast

6th- WDW ADR at Crystal Palace and then flight home to CT

I am sure we will have some down time in there with some pool action. One disappointment is that my DS's favorite ride, Splash Mtn., will be closed when we are there. On the up side the Swiss Family Robinson tree house was closed when we were there in May so that will be a new thing for all of us.

As the trip gets closer I am sure we will try to plan a little more specifics.:thumbsup2

Sounds like you have a great trip planned! Me and my family are also leaving on New Years Day and we could not be more excited. We have an ADR at Chef Mickey's the same morning as you...if you see 8 adults acting like little kids that's us. Splash Mountain being closed is definitely disappointing. Have a great trip!
