new year at DLP

Hi all,
new over here in the DLP board.. be gentle with me

I'm considering a quick trip to DLP and my DH would like to go for new year - maybe 31st - 2nd..

is there anything i should know.. do i need a certain/special ticket or anything for new years eve?

is it very busy?

I have been to DLP twice but never at any special time of the year.

Hello

No special ticket required but it is very very busy and everything such as hotels and transport costs a lot more
They have very expensive meals in the t/s restaurants and the c/s ones get mobbed and can have even longer/slower queues than usual.

If it's like previous years there is a dj party in the main park and fireworks in both parks plus the village

I have found a pretty good deal on eurostar and hotel but i'm worried that it will be too busy to enjoy it.
do the parks reach capacity? do you have to be in there early?

I think considering you've been twice before and provided you go expecting it to be mega busy, you'll have a ball. Just enjoy the atmosphere, celebrate being in a Disney park to see in the New Year and treat any rides you do as a bonus and you can't go wrong.

I'm just trying to wangle the time off work. I'm not officially allowed time off in December but I would need 30/31 December.
Time to sweet talk the boss

My other option is to go 2nd jan but I would really love to be there for New Year's Eve.
