I just saw that there is a special with Disney Visa (not sure if it must be Disney one or not) that has to do with booking a package a regular rate and having your tickets upgraded. Its good from 4-23 till 6-3.Now that I saw it again,it does say for Disney Reward Visa Cardholders and that the deposit must be made with that card.Has anyone gotten any rates for this special? If so post them and which resort and for how many days and the number of people going. These dates do not help me but maybe it will help someone else.

What do you mean by upgrade tickets? If you book with base tickets you are upgraded to hopper for no additional charge?

Thank you! I've been trying to get into my Visa account but the site is down right now. I'll have to try again later.

I made my reservation 20 minutes ago then saw a similiar post. So, i called disney right back and she confirmed the deal but said the computers were down and she will call me back!

We will be there during that time! Yeah deals!

SO WHAT ARE YOU GETTING AND HOW MUCH WILL YOU SAVE BY THE DEAL??
THANKS :scared:

I just spoke to my TA (AAA) We had booked with 10 day passes, with PH and No EXP options. She called Disney and called me back. We will be allowed to get the deal and add the No Exp option. I don't no how much we will save yet, but we will save AND get better tickets as well. When I get numbers I will post again. Yes, I have a Disney Visa, and yes, you have to use it.

So does that mean you get AAA and the upgrade tickets? I hope so, I have my agent checking into the deal as well.

When this was offered in Jan-Feb, the savings were approximately $85 for the tickets per adult and there was a small room discount, maybe 10% or so.

PJS755--Does that mean you are losing the AAA discount but by your ticket price decreasing you are saving the same amount of $$$ plus getting better tickets?? I hope that make sense. I just checked the dis so now my AAA is closed, I so want the free water parks. My DH isn't that thrilled with water parks but if they are free we have to go, And I love a good water slide--Bring it on!!!

:scratchin If I made a reservation already at the Boardwalk will they be able to give me a discount when I arrive on March 3?? When I booked the room they said no discounts were available and I used my Disney visa.

My TA just called me. The agent at WDTC is giving her the run around. She was told earlier today we were a go, now she's being giving a price that's higher, not lower, and the agent is disputing the words "Free upgrade". I have emailed the offer details to my TA at her request, scanned from the Disney Visa website. She will get back to me tomorrow. It had been her understanding that we would get the ticket upgrade on top of the AAA deal, but that may not be true.

DH and I booked and paid in full today with this package...it only ended up saving us $40...we booked in 2005 and had those rates, so it almost washed out the promo...but it upgraded us to get into Pleasure Island....that's why we did it....booked through AAA and it's all good! :thumbsup2

We booked in 2005 also with AAA for MYW pkg plus dining and PH tickets. I am totally ok with paying the same amount and getting free water parks, I hope that will work---I will call tomorrow although I am not anticipating my TA will have a clue. I will post outcome--

Mousesavers has the specifics on this shown. You buy base tickets you get happer and plusses. so about 95 per person. It doesnt do me anygood since I leave this week. But if you are like me it doesnt save you anything but gives you more. Most of that would be useless to me since we dont hop (probably would a couple of times with this but not much) and probably still wouldnt do any of the plusses. IT ONLY SAVES YOU IF IT IS MONE YOU WOULD HAVE PURCHASED IT ANYWAY. And since I do believe you would then lose your AAA discount it would actually end up costing me about $100 (total though) to get this benefit.

I had a reservation for POFQ from April 28, 2006 through May 4th. I called disney back tonight and they told me they didn't have any of those packages available for the dates I had made my reservations.

They must of went quick!

I called just a couple hours ago and it actually sounds like a good deal to me, even if we don't use the water parks! 6 nights at a moderate, w/dining, 7 day hoppers priced on WDW site is: $ 2560.22, AAA: $2524.48 (those are both priced WITHOUT water option) Disney Visa price: $2415.38. I forgot to ask if the Visa price was tax included. So this new offer with Disney Visa is cheaper so why not?! :teeth:
