12/21 - *HOLIDAY UPDATE*

Is it possible for a Quest to be "too popular"? If you're talking about the Disneyland Holiday Quest it can be. The good news? You came and you Quested. The bad news, due to an unexpected demand and overwhelming amount of you completing the Holiday Quest, we've now out of Holiday Reward Cards at Disneyland! (Remember how I told you to get to the Park and do the Quest? The reason was pretty simple: our card stock was limited.)

Guest going to Disneyland shouldn't worry though, our friends from Halloween Town have offered a helping hand to make everyone's Holiday jolly. Launching tomorrow (Friday, December 22nd) is a "new" Holiday Quest — a Haunted Mansion Holiday Quest and the prize is the Halloween Mickey Pumpkin. So if you're heading to Disneyland don't forget to play the new Holiday Mansion Quest. And for our friends visiting the Magic Kingdom, remember, it's like that fine print we have on the back of those in-Park Quest cards, Reward cards are subject to availability, and may change without notice. So when I say get to the Park and do those Quest – get to the Park and do the Quest!

We went tonight and they were still giving out the gold snowman plus 2 cards with credit codes on them. And, yes they did tell us about the new quest tomorrow. Now I just have to figure out if I have time to run over there!

So is this considered the same quest they ran in October? You know the one exclusive to DLR that would only run for 3 weeks so the single prize would be worth lots and it hasn't been a year and they're already re-releasing it? And what about the Holiday Quest - it had three cards for the prize, the Halloween quest only had the one Pumpkin?

I took the Pumpkin Quest and got my Pumpkin in October and managed to get the Holiday Quest a couple weeks ago... Why am I complaining?

But if this is considered a new Quest, do I get to take it again?

Just look at it this way.. a single Pumpkin will be less rare then before, however, three items do to inavailability will become more rare

The cards for this years holiday quest were the left over cards from last year. Look at the expiration date on the back Sept 30, 2006. Thats why they ran out.

I would be happy to check out the expiration dates on the cards. Feel free to send me a stack of unused DLR Holiday Quest Cards and I promise I will study the expiration dates as i enter the codes

Oh Grumpy....you are so mean and trickey... like the Grinch! Remember that Santa comes in just a few days! And even Grumpy needs to be good!

But all kidding aside...it is a bummer for all of us who got the Pumpkin thru the Halloween Quest and thought they had something really rare...and now find out it won't be! But as they say...nothing in vmk is rare for long! Although this was really short peiod!

So does any one want to trade me a briefly retired DLR Pumpkin for a briefly retired bear rug?

Yes, this is considered a NEW quest. Even if you did the Mansion Quest in October or the Holiday Quest earlier this month you can do this quest and get another DLR Pumpkin.

I personally think this is very strange and dissapointed in VMK for not anticipating and realizing they would obviously recieve more demand for the quest.

They seem to underestimate or "hope that it will be enough" often when it comes to this type of thing.

HI!

Did the new quest tonight! It consisted of some questions from the Halloween Quest, some from the Christmas Quest and 1 new question.

Since it is only scheduled to run for about a 1.5 weeks, the pumkins will still be pretty rare.
