New Trader Question

We don't have any Disney stores in our area, so we don't have any Disney pins to start trading with. I bought my son some local pins to take on our Florida vacation. Can he trade those to get started, or does he need to buy some pins at WDW? Thanks.

Hi there,

Welcome to Disney pin trading. In order for you to trade with Cast Members at any of the parks either in WDW or DL, you'll need to buy Disney pins. You may get lucky and be able to trade non-Disney pins for Disney pins with other pin traders, but it's highly unlikely that someone will do that. If you want to get started, you can simply call WDW Mail Order @ 1-407-363-6200 or DL Delivers @ 1-800-760-3566. If you want inexpensive pins just for trading, check out cheappins.com. You can buy a "lot" (set) of 13 Disney Store pins through that site for about $22, and shipping is also pretty cheap.

I wanted to add that I found out about cheappins.com on this site and am truly grateful. I love pin trading and had usually stocked up at my local Disney Store before vacations to be able to trade with cast members (for me and the kids) Now that they don't have pins I was worried because this year is budget trip big time. I was able to start with three pins from Cheappins for about $13.00 including shipping. Not bad when you have to buy down at WDW for starting at $6.50. I usually buy a few pins down there, but those are keepers. I love the whole trading thing so it's nice to have a source for trading pins.
