New to Universal-meal plan?

We will be going to each park once at Universal, and are staying at WDW on the dining plan. My idea was to maybe pick up sandwiches at earl of sandwich the night before our Universal day and bring them for lunch (so we dont waste our cs credits), then just purchase a cs dinner. Are we better off not getting the meal deal at Universal? Could we get 1 plan to feed 2 little ones? I'm not very familiar with this plan, so any info/advice is appreciated...

I would skip it...it's nothing like the Disney plan. Universal's plan is only really good if you have people who eat A LOT during the day and if you're going to bring your sandwiches, just purchase two kid's meals somewhere. Universal's plan does not allow sharing.

I'm just curious. How would they know if you are sharing?

As others have said I don`t think it would be worth it for you and your family.

There are plenty of very good places in both parks for you to buy something for your kids to eat without buying the meal deal.
