So we are venturing out to Universal for one day. My family's priorities are the Simpsons area and 'something Harry Potter'.
1) I notice Harry Potter attractions are at both parks. I'm wondering if we go to Universal Orlando to catch the Simpsons stuff, is the HP stuff just as interesting there as at the other park?
2) So the Express Pass? I'm a bit confused about it - you pay extra for it and you can only use it on one ride/attraction? I hope I'm wrong on that. Can someone clarify this please?
TIA!!

1) The answer to this is very subjective and does depend on your budget and how much you want to accomplish in your one-day. If you are big Harry Potter fans and what the whole experience, then "yes" if your budget allows for it, I would suggest getting a park-to-park pass and visiting both Diagon Alley (in Universal Studios) and Hogsmeade (in Islands of Adventure). Note that in order to ride The Hogwarts Express, you must have a park-to-park pass as it connects the two parks. If you are just mid-range Harry Potter fans, Diagon Alley has more than enough to keep you occupied.

2) WRT the Express Passes, there are two types
- Express Pass - can ride each participating ride only once
- Express Pass Unlimited - can ride each participating ride as many times as you like

According to Universal's website, neither Express Pass is accepted on the following rides:

Universal Studios Florida
  • Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™
  • Hogwarts™ Express
  • Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl
  • Fievel's Playland
Universal's Islands of Adventure
  • Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™
  • Hogwarts™ Express
  • Pteranodon Flyers®
