New to Univ. & hotels

It's our first time at Universal. We're going in March. How do you find out the APH rates? We're looking at maybe staying at the RPH but we got a disney hotel for $125 p. night. Just curious if it's worth staying at the onsite hotels? We'll be doing disney/universal and sea world while we are there. We don't mind hotel hopping either. Thanks!!! Also is the meal deal worth it at univeral?

You have to call to get APH and AAA rates. It is definitely worth it to stay onsite during peak times since your wait in line will be greatly decreased.

Ditto to what others have said. We've gotten a $125/night rate at the RPH with the APH discount. Staying onsite is the only way to go. A completely different type of vacation. Walk to the parks, instead of waiting on a bus. Bypass the regular lines at attractions vs getting a FastPass. Priority Seating when you walk up with your hotel room card at City Walk restaurants vs advanced dining reservations days/weeks ahead of time.

Try it onsite. You'll love it.

APH is for annual pass holders. You can buy an annual pass for about $180. I am a Canadian and we can get all of the rates available to the US except the Florida resident's rate.

Your best bet is to call Loews to find out what discounts are available for your time.
