Hi, we recently booked the Caribbean beach resort for next October, and I'm over the moon with excitement. We never imagined we could stay on property, so I've never paid as much attention to podcasts about the dining plan, and other topics relating to it.
I want to take my family to the hoop de do revue, I see it's a dinner show credit. How does this work ? Do I use 2 table service like cinderella? Or is that not possible?
Also, is it fairly easy to understand your options when we order, I don't want to cause the cast members any hassle trying to sort out my misunderstandings. Thanks

Yes, the dinner shows can be paid for with 2 table-service credits just like Cinderella's Royal Table and other signature restaurants. How many credits you have depends on which plan you purchase and how many nights your stay is for.

Ordering is generally straightforward. It's usually clear what constitutes an appetizer, entree, dessert, or non-alcoholic beverage. Snack items are clearly marked on menus. Quick-Service meals allow you to get any snack item instead of your dessert and/or drink.

Keep in mind that the dining plan isn't a great choice for everyone and doesn't necessarily save any money. I'd plan out how and where you would like to eat and then see if it works for your family.

Great, thanks for that. We have two boys who are very excited for character meals, and be our guest, and a couple of adults very excited for cinderellas table etc. Plus, The amount our lot eat should make it worthwhile.

The signatures will tell you what your credits will buy when you order. They did for us at three this past week. They particularly reminded us apps and alcohol were extra.

Please do the math. It looks like you already have plans for two signature restaurants (2TS credits). They are rarely a good value on the regular DDP, and that also means you WILL have to pay OOP somewhere for a meal even if it is a QS. If your two boys are 9 yrs and younger, you may break even, but it's still going to be close.

That's good info on the signatures, thanks for that, jadyreen1282.
SharonAbe, we arrive late in the afternoon on our first day from the UK, so we plan on having a quick serve meal our first night . When we've been in the past ( only twice in 10 years ) we never really have much of an appetite for anything else. This will leave us that nights table service to add to whichever night we do cinderellas table, we plan on going to universal at least one, maby 2 days, and will eat outside the parks that night, leaving spare table service for hoop de do.
I know food wise, it will not be great value, but it's more the experience we're going for on those nights. Our boys were too young to remember they're last visit, and who knows when we'll get back, so we thought we'd go for it. I've looked on the boards, and the other character meals they want all seem to be 1 credit. So it should work out OK. Thanks though :-)

We always do the dining plan and we have done the Hoop Dee Do Revue many times. We always pay out of pocket for it so we don't use up two table service credits for it. Then we have an extra credit to do a signature dining on another night. You get better seating if you pay for it, category 1 vs category 2 with the dining plan. It's totally worth it in my opinion. It is a great show and the food is very good...served family style. Hope you enjoy.
