Hi all!
I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Kristen and I live in West Chester, PA. I recently got engaged in WDW when my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years placed the ring in a glass slipper and proposed in front of the castle. It was beautiful and truly unexpected!! We are planning a 2006 wedding (no definite date yet though we are thinking either the last weekend in April, first weekend in May or first weekend in August). I want to do a Cinderella themed wedding. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! We are planning on doing the land and sea cruise for our honeymoon, too!
Looking forward to talking to you!

Welcome, Kristen and congratulations!

There are so many nice people on here who will help you some and give you some great ideas.
But watch out! they'll make you spend more money each time they answer a question. :hyper:

Its been happening to me.

Welcome to the board! I don't live too far from West Chester, maybe an hour if that. I work in Pottstown. Well anyways it's nice for you to join us and good luck planning!!

Congratulations on your engagement!

And welcome to the board!

Many congrats on your engagement Kristen.

How exciting a Cinderella Wedding is a wonderful and most appropriate theme. There is so much good stuff around - Ebay has plenty of stuff for favors, gifts, invitations, programs, table cards, place card holders and more.

Looking forward to hearing more as your plans unfold.

Welcome! This board is a wealth of info. I also had a Cinderella theme for our wedding. PM me if you want to know what we did.

:wave2: HI!! Welcome!! This place is the BEST!! So many great people and LOTS of info! Congrats on your engagement!!:wave2:

Kristen,

Welcome to the board! Yes, you'll find lots of great information here so dig in and enjoy!

Just wanted to lend you a word of advice on choosing your wedding date. You mentioned possibly choosing end of April/early May or early August. I would definitely encourage you to choose late April/early May. I've chosen April 16, 2005 as my wedding date because that time of year is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL here! Temps in the high-70s and low-80s, low humidity, slightly breezy...it's absolutely the best time of year to be here. August, however, is NOT! We're talking highs in the mid to upper 90s, with 98% humidity and a guaranteed chance of rain every afternoon. And, let's not forget that hurricane season starts August 1st (don't even get me started there!).

I hope you'll choose a date that best suits you, but the Florida weather is always something that should be taken into consideration. Often times, I fear that brides from the North choose to have their Disney weddings in July, August and September not realizing just how hot, rainy and miserable it is down here during those months. And, that's WITHOUT a hurricane! :D

Best of luck to you!

:smooth: :sunny:

I second the ebay idea! I have gotten almost everything already through ebay. They have the cutest matching Cinderella items I have ever seen. By the way, thanks so much Elle. I found some great ideas from the sites you posted!

You are soooo welcome :teeth: I have more if you like, just let me know

Hi Kristen, Congrats and welcome...
Here is a phone number for buying stuff at the parks. They had a Cinderella cake topper, and some other assorted items.

also, try www.giftsofalifetime.com They are a fun place, and can arrange Suprizes for trips to WDW...
