Hello. Im Rob, my family and I have traveled to Disney for the last 2 years and this will be our third. We stayed at th Wilderness Lodge the first year and at Port Orleans Riverside last year. This year we've decided that we would try camping so we could stay longer for less money.(so we think). At the end of 06 we sold our pop-up and bought a 29'11" travel trailer. This will be our first camping experience at Disney and Im curious as to what may be the right site for us. Im thinking if I can get into the 1-2-3 hundred loop that would be good for us so that we may be able to use the boats as we always end up back at the MK by days end. Are these sites big -small or what? Thanks for any and all help. I look forward to posting on this board.:) :thumbsup2

Welcome to the camping boards!!!

When you make your reservation for FW, make sure you reserve a preferred site if you want one of the 1-2-3 hundred loops and also let them know the size of your camper and whether or not it has slideouts and an awning. When FW receives your ressie, they will look at your requests and the size of your camper and assign you a site the right size for your rig.

Have fun!

Welcome to the Boards!! I think you will find FW your new favorite resort. I don't like to spend extra 10$ a day on preferred sites for the cable. I like the 900, 1100 or 1200 loops best. We bring bikes so getting around is no problem. Most sites are large, but note the size of camper on your reservations.

I think you will enjoy FW, we have stayed at most of the resorts over the years and we now use FW with our 30' 5th wheel. We stayed in 300 loop in Dec. and had plenty of room, although there are probably some sites that are hard to back into in all loops. You might also look at loop 700, there were lots of buses there in Dec and the front of that loop is closer than 300 to the settlement.

You are right about the cost, we now stay two weeks instead of one week.

Thanks for the info you all. I assume that all sites are back-in sites. With that said is there plenty of room to manouver. I've towed 22' boats and not had a problem backing in but I'm just getting used to this 30' Travel Trailer so Im just hoping the sites are'nt too tight.
