Hi everyone!
My parents (who live next door :flower3:) just bought a new 5th wheel (28ft). We have been given carte blanch with it's use :worship:!! We were planning a WDW trip for Sept. (staying with points @ a Holiday Inn) but now that we have this we are rethinking our plans and booking at the campsites. We have driven many gooseneck horse trailers and such but never an RV understand there is some differences but was wondering what the grades (reg. /perfered/ and premium) of sites meant? Being new to this easy of parking would be perfered but with practice we could probably back up. All my rambling is getting at is: would a prefered spot be worth extra money? Is it "drive thru"?
Thank you,
Tracey

I will try to answer your questions, there are no drive thru's. We have stayed in all three types and to most on this forum its a matter of taste. Location seems to be the most important. Some of the Preferred are easy and some are hard, we couldnt get into a preferred one once (29' 5th and large truck). The preminum have been upgraded to larger pads that are easier to back into. Now that we have been in the Preminum sites we seen to like them better, as there is no sand to track into the camper.

Take a look at the map that is at the beginning of this forum, its been designed by a fellow camper and thru Google earth. There are videos included of the sites to show you FW, its pretty neat. You can request a Loop location and most of the time they will put you in it..

Welcome to the boards,,and camping ! I love to see newbies, :thumbsup2
Becky is correct, no pull thru's. However, if you are new at backing in /parking your 5thwheel, wheb you arrive at the Fort simply tell them you may need help backing in and they will send someone with you to help you get in your site. ( I have seen this several times)

Ya'll are gonna have such a great time !
