So, I've been researching all things FW but I still have some questions and could use some help.

We will be at FW for a 4 night trip in December. We live in GA so although this is just our 2nd trip to WDW, it will not be our last. That said, this trip is to focus on the holiday events (yay!). We are me, DH, DD (5), DS (3) & my parents.

We will have the DDP- I've got all of our meals planned (and ADRs lined up) except for a possible CS meal on one of our off nights at FW. I just saw a thread stating that Trails End take out is now accepting DDP credits. Would that be CS credits? In Dec. is this our only CS option at FW?

To make RD at MK, what time should I be at the boat launch? How early do boats start ferrying across?

I know that campers at FW decorate their sites during the holidays. (We are planning to tour them!) We will be in a cabin. Do only the campsite folks decorate or should I bring decorations too for our cabin? Do the sleigh rides travel through the cabin areas too? Definitely don't want to be a Scrooge!

TIA!

The only thing I can speak to is the RD at MK part... We found that the boat that runs directly from FW to MK doesn't start until 8am (for the 9am opening). This is what was communicated by a bus driver who told us we needed to take a bus to get to MK.

HOWEVER, the ferry that runs from FW to WL to Contemporary starts running earlier (not sure what time; we were at the dock at 7:40am). The boat driver asked if anyone was going to WL-- no one was so we went straight to Contemporary.

From there, we could have taken the monorail, but we decided to walk. As you approach the building, take a right (outside) and walk to the parking lot. Walk through the parking lot and there is a orange brick (those bricks with 6 or 8 sides?) pathway leading you to MK.

We got there by 8:15am and had a nice spot in the shade waiting for the RD ceremony and mass entrance.

Not positive, but I think the boat to the Contemporary starts running as early as 6:45am. We had a fairly early ADR at Chef Mickey's before and it got us there. The walk from CR to MK is only about 10 minutes or so.

As far as decorations, by all means decorate your cabin! It really helps get you into the festive mood.

hlto324 I have to give you a high five for being new to the camping boards and jumping right in with all the abreviations in your post. Hell, I've been here for over a year and don't know what most of them stand for. Welcome and enjoy the fort.

You know that you have it all down when you know this one...

WWLD?

Hi. We're hoping to move to a cabin for our December trip, so I have plans for MAJOR decorating. We put up lights on the deck last August - there is an outside electrical outlet on the deck so you can light it up. So I'll be doing that, plus lighted window decorations too.

I'm sure there will be other cabins decorated, so feel free to join in!
