This is our second trip to WDW. On our first trip, I was "Commando Planner" and I failed to schedule in time to eat! "What do you mean we haven't eaten since we left home?! There's no time for eating at Disney!" Well, my family made it clear to me that this year, we will eat.

I reluctantly made resevations for breakfast buffets early in the morning (my secret plan to get everyone up and into the parks super early:rotfl: ), but now my ravenous family has told me to make dinner ressies as well! Of course, because they don't visit these boards, they have no idea of the daunting task they have laid before me. We leave in
four days!!! :scared1:

I was forced to make extremely early, like 3:30 early, ressies for two days of our trip. Here is my question. Say we are in the parks having a blast, and my silly family realizes that they'd rather do more rides than eat. Can we call and cancel the ressies with such short notice? Or should I just cancel them now and deal with the wrath of hungry people later? Also, during the first week of February, is it possible that you could walk up to a sit down restaurant, wait your turn and get a table?

This all has made me think of another question. We are on the DDP. If we can't use our TS meals, can they be used at CS places? I know we won't be getting the most bang for our buck, but somebody's gotta line Disney's pockets, right? ;)

Yes, you can cancel your ressie at anytime, except for the couple that you prepay for, but I am not sure what their cancellation policy is (24 hrs, etc).

Yes, you can try walk up service at restaurants. You can usually find a place to eat, even TS, just not always choice restaraunts like Le Cellier, etc. It reallly depends on how many people have ADR's and if they are showing up. Lunches are easier walk up then dinners, but they can usually fit you in. We didn't do ADR's for several years when we went in June and were able to get into places, just might have to wait awhile.

You should be able to use your TS at CS locations....basicly when you run out of CS they would start taking TS.....not the best use of DDP, but it does work.

As for your early dinner ressies, I would just get snacks for lunch and then dinner....after the fireworks or parades go hit CS for a late dinner/snack!

why dont you try calling each morning and see where you might be able to get in at dinner time, others may cancel, if not then do CS.

I wouldnt want to waste my TS credits.

We walked in to SciFi for lunch and we did a walk in to Chef Mickey but that was breakfast and we got a last minute ressie for Concourse Steakhouse for dinner back in May.

Have fun
