New to DVC - looking for room descriptions and photos info for each resort.

i know that i can find room descriptions and photos and even FAQ threads for each of the WDW resorts, but i can't seem to find that info for the DVC resorts. We are thinking of renting points for our next vaca and i have no idea where i might want to stay and what size room i might want (to calcuate how many point i need to rent) as i can't find photos or descriptions of the studio/one bedrooms/two bedrooms for the DVC resorts.

any clue where to look? (either on the DIS forums, DIS main page or other sites out there on the web)

Disney's Resorts

Scroll down a bit until you get to the links for "Disney Deluxe Villas". There is lots of DVC resort specific info (including photos).

There are a few places to get really good photos of DVC.

I have found that the best pictures of the individual rooms are on the accommodations links at www.allearsnet.com. There are also room reviews as well. Speaking of reviews...you may want to check out tripadvisor.com for pictures and reviews. Tagrel.com also has some great pictures.

As for outside pictures...Go to the top of the thread list on the DVC Mouscellaneous board and go to the thread that says something about DVC pictures. That will take hours and hours to go through, but it is wonderful. I will occassionally go to this thread when I'm "Home Sick".

You can find a few things on Youtube. Just type in Disney and the name of the resort. I know there are a few videos about BWV.

As far as room size and layout, I think the Unofficial Guide has the best information on this.

There are other places for pictures and information, maybe others will chime in. As for room size, you may want to start a thread asking for specific square footage for each room type for each resort.

Why not just go directly to the Mouse himself?

Follow these steps (I know, it's the long way, but it's interesting)

WWW.Disney.Com

Select "Parks"
Select "Walt Disney World"
Select "Resorts"
Select "Resort Comparisons"
Select "Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts"
Select "Compare"

From there you can examine each resort as you please. They have some nice "Virtual Tours". While these are the DVC resorts, the Disney screens show them as resorts you can reserve for cash. This can give you a good idea of the 'value' of renting points would be versus paying Disney's cash rates.
