Special guests. Over the years we had talks and tours from different Disney Imagineers, Roy Disney, Art Linkletter, Disney Legends and some wonderful entertainment from some of Disney's Broadway stars.

DVC themed DCL shows and games like bingo and who wants to be a mouseketeer.
As for kids, can't help a lot in that department as we don't have any. They don't really have anything special DVC wise for the kids but I will say that every DVC cruise we've been on has less kids than normal. Most families who have children find this nice as the pools, clubs, etc. aren't as crowded.
The DVC Member Cruises aren't for everyone as they do cost more than a regular cruise but it is the special guests that make it a must do for us.
What if you got the room with points for the first person and paid cash for the other people in the room? How much is that? How much for a 13 yr old? When will the points chart be available?
Just got off the boat from the member cruise. Not very many kids around cuz it is during school time, but my 12 yr old had a fun time. I rarely saw her. Had to force her to come to dinner each night.
Gonna do my best to get on next years!
When you book you do it through Member Services (call in day is 11/2). At that time you can book using all points, all cash, or a mixture. For example on the last Member Cruise (and most likely on the next one) we'll do one of us on points and the other on cash. I don't believe you can use a combination on one person (for example paying a portion of the fare with points and the rest cash).
When using cash you have to pay everything that day, not over time like with a regular cruise. That's because this is a charter cruise.
A few more things to keep in mind based on the past member cruises.
The $95 booking fee is waived on call in day. However if you make any changes you will be charged that fee later on.
Your tips are included for the Member cruise (using the base price). Of course if you want to tip extra you can do that. This is currently based at $48 per person.
Any other questions feel free to ask. If you are looking at booking you may also want to join us over on the cruise meets board as we already have a thread started. It is a great way to know your fellow cruisers before we sail and we've made some great friendships this way. It is also a great place to ask questions. 2009 Member Cruise
