Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, so I apologize if I've posted in the wrong area.
My family will be going to WDW mid Sept. My wife and I went for our honeymoon a few years ago, so this will be our 2nd trip. This time we however we have a beautiful 2 year old daughter, and with a toddler things are a bit different, diapers and milk are now part of the equation. That being said I figure we might as well make a trip to the store while we're there and pick up a few other things (grown up supplies) for the wife and I.
I know this topic has been posted on the boards before but I want to retouch it, since I haven't seen any recent posts in my searching.
We will be staying AKL Villas, in a "value studio" that's Jambo House we will there for 15 days in total. First I was considering ordering diapers from amazon and having them sent to the hotel, but since I will need other things as well, it seems a trip to a store is a bit better. I have read that there is a Super Target and a Publix near AKL. We're coming from Hawaii, and have no idea what these stores are like. I'm sure the Super Target would be perfect for most everything I want and need, however I'd like to get some "adult beverages", and some nice fruits as well, peaches, apples, pears, things like that, here in Hawaii decent produce is hard to come by (crazy I know, but go figure). I'd like to get some decent beer and wine too, no offence to any Bud or Coors drinkers but domestics are NOT on my shopping list, so I would like a place with a little bit of a selection. I'd also like to get a nice bottle of Scotch also, and I'm not sure if Target carries things like that. Over here on the island we have a Walmart and a Kmart, one has spirits the other does not, so I was mainly wondering if Target does.
If Target does not, I assume Publix would. I believe I read that it is right across the street. I will not be renting a car, so I will have to take a cab. Basically I what's my best bet here. One or both of these stores, is there a better option out there? Any ideas?
One more quick question. I have a breakfast reservation at 7:05 am for Chef Mickey's (the ONLY available time in the entire 15 days of our trip!) Will I need to get a cap to make a reservation this early? I have read there are character breakfast buses that leave early, however I haven't read anything definitive that says they would work for an ADR that early.
