Hey Guys, I've been reading your posts for months after first discovering it when I booked my first visit to FWR, this is my first post and I like to know if anybody knows if their's a way to get the Dining plans without getting the whole package?....reason why is I'm a Florida resident, and I had to purchase my room rates and tickets to park seperate in order to get resident discounts, now because I did that, I could not get the dining package.
Will the resort help me out with this or am I stuck paying full price for every meal?

I will be staying March 29,30,31 & April 1st

I don't believe you can get it without doing a package. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone else will chime in.

If you have an annual pass, you can purchase the dining plan without purchasing a package. Florida resident seasonal pass qualifies.

However, I would strongly urge you to looking into Tables in Wonderland. It is $65 per year for passholders or $95 per year for non passholder Florida Residents. This provides 20% off of all sit down dining. It may be worth it to invest in this instead of the Dining Plan.

The Dining Plan forces you to eat certain amounts of food to get your money's worth.

I have researched and reviewed most plans, but I only visit DW about once a year since I live about 3 hours away (sad)...I'm not sure if any annual plan will work for my budget, but I have heard that sometimes CMs help you or upgrade you if you have problems, thanks for the info though.

I live 20 hours away and only make it once a year. So don't feel to bad its hard to go all the time.

1. With the Magic Your Way + Dining package
2. If you're an AP holder, you can add Dining to your room reservation
3. If you have a Military discount, you can add Dining to your reservation

The CMs cannot sell you the Dining Plan when you check in, unless you meet one of the above criteria.

If I could hijack this thread for just a moment, I would like to know what it would cost, approximately, for a passholder to add the Dining Plan to a reservation. And, I thought this cannot be done with a campsite reservation? I have steadfastly refused to get involved with the Dining Plan, but after dropping big bucks on some mediocre meals lately, I wonder if I would be better off with DDP? People use this for the HDDR, right?

TCD, you can have the DDP with campsites just not the FREE dining plan. Yes the HDDR is on there but it counts as 2 table service meals. It was a value when Disney was paying for an appetizer and the tip but I'm not so sure now.

I did not know that I could add the DDP to a campsite reservation (since I am a passholder).

I would really like to know what is costs, as it seems like everyone is using it.

In January, we splurged on dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge. At the price charged ( I think it was like $25 a head), I was shocked how busy it was. I already have the Tables in Wonderland card, so I had a 20% discount from that, but I have to think that the DDP may have offered a greater savings, since it seemed like everyone else there was using that.

Can anybody tell me how much it is to add DDP to a camping reservation, and does anyone have any personal experiences to share?

For the Quick service plan
The additional cost (on top of a regular Magic Your Way package) is $29.99 per night per adult or junior (ages 10-17), $8.99 per night for children (ages 3-9).

I thought you had to add the dining plan a few days before you arrive. I can't remember if it's 3 or 7 days. I don't think you can ever add it at check in.

OK, so for my family of 5, it would be $200 per day (plus tax I assume)? That is why I don't use it. I don't think our grocery bill for a three day weekend of camping is more than $200 (and that includes a lot of beer).

Hey Guys, thanks for the welcome...I'm staying in a cabin, I guess it's not much of a fuss to not have a plan, we will bring some food with us, we figured while at one of the park it would be nice to have a discount, I guess i'm not worried, just hopeing to get pixie dusted or something I hear, I would have gone to DW in January when it was my Birthday, but I unfortchantly had to cancel my trip do to a very weird and unexpect emergency surgery I had to have on my brain, so I'm just glad I'm able to reschedule my vacation and just make it to Disney this month.
