Hello! We just signed on to find out more information. I was reading the posting regarding the handicap room assignment. { our RCI TA told us it was best to do a guarantee cat. 5 rather than a room assignment} :confused3 We thought we were lucky to be assigned a bigger room, don't have a clue as to the plexiglass verses what we have, the solid white wall, felt a little bummed but figured it would not be that big of deal. Can anyone tell me the good things of being assigned this room. We are going March 27th, during our daughters Spring Break, which it also happens to be Easter. I called and everything in Cat 4 is booked, is it worth trying to change in case of cancellations when we check in? Chances are there will not be any changing, I am sure it will be a wonderful experience for our first time, just need some reassurance as that posting kind of bummed me out.
Any help would be much appreciated :wave2:
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Karen Vanecek

We actually stayed in room 7630 on our cruise, and it's one of the staterooms with the solid wall verandah. I have to say that we had no problems with it. We didn't have the extra room that the handicap rooms have, but we really enjoyed it. I don't think that the solid wall makes that much of a difference unless you're one of those who likes to sit on the verandah, but fortunately, we're not that kind. We didn't spend a whole lot of time out there. We would usually step out and stand there for a few minutes in the morning and at night, but we never spent too long out there as I got a little nervous as this was our first cruise. I am sure that the extra room will come in very handy since you will have your daughter with you! Just keep a positive attitude and things will turn out great...besides, it's all in what you make of it! :flower:

Oh yeah...I almost forgot...you'll be really close to the secret deck too!!

Thanks for letting us know and taking the time to write :sunny: The Disney person told us it will be great as well. We are also celebrating our daughters princess: birthday, it will be exciting, as well for us as our first time on any cruise. :jumping1: :thewave: Take care and thanks again!
Sincerely,
Karen

Glad I could help!
I am sure that you are very excited! We also celebrated the DH's B-day while on board and that was really fun!
I hope that you guys have a wonderful time!!

We have cruised in 7132--solid wall like yours but not the extra space like yours--so enjoy the bigger verandah! Also you are going to be just two short flights of steps from the beverage station on deck 9, in case you are a coke or diet coke junkie (like me). I love deck 7, have been on it every time, and next month, too--a couple flights of steps up or down gets you to everything--I never wait for or take an elevator (well, maybe when getting back on board after a day at a beach I'll ride from 1 to 7.)

Welcome, and enjoy.

Thanks for the tips :cheer2: How do you get your neat countdown on your page? :smooth: This is a very neat site with a lot of info, so glad I came across it
Take care and thanks again
Sincerely,
Karen

Welcome to the Dis cruise board....it really is a great and very imformative site.

In regards to the solid wall verandah....if you are sitting out on your verandah you will not be able to look out to the ocean but I think the size and location of your verandah will more than make up for that. We have had solid wall verandahs several times and always enjoy them!!! How old is your DD...if she is very small I could see the solid verandah being a bit a pain as you would have to lift her up if she wanted to see, but if she is older than it should be fine. You will have a lot of extra space in the cabin which is wonderful.

Again welcome and have a great cruise...remember...there are no stupid questions, so ask away!!!

Hi, My daughter is 8, and she is tall for her age, so I think it will be fine. She will be busy, I just thought since my husband & I enjoy our lattes in the am, where ever we vacation, while we let our precious one sleep in to get plenty of rest and not get cranky :love1: from over doing :earsgirl: we picked the veranda to enjoy that. When I read the posting of the lady who was upset, it kind of worried me , and needed some reassurance. We always talked about doing this cruise and now finally just decided to go for it. :flower: You all have been great and I thank you for that.
Take care and thanks again :grouphug:
Sincerely,
Karen

We will be getting on the Wonder on March 20th. We are in cabin #7554. I was hoping this was a good spot. This is our FIRST cruise ever. Our girls are 8 and 11, so we are all very excited! :cool1:
